Same, really enjoyed the series. Granted, I would've liked it even more..had they included more battle sequences like they did in season 2. But, I loved the scene where Octavian is in the chamber...and says "Who will tell my legions..who loved Caesar as I did..that, that is not murder"

You should definitely take Camillus army away from him because would be a pain to defeat with his current army if he gets close to starting a civil war

@Kamil S hey now he's being cautious u idiot stop being uncivil . this is civilised lands after all *sips in british*

People have suggested disbanding his army and getting rid of him by throwing him into combat. I suggest actually trying to do useful stuff with him (eg attacking regions and so forth), but instead of trying to save him, you make him charge into combat and be a bit more reckless. Maybe try to get him killed in a battle you know you'll win so the army doesn't route and you can still get something out of it. Also, it would fit with the idea of his power and prowess going to his head, making him feel invincible so he throws himself into battle and accidentally dies. It would be like one of those great ancient tragic deaths like Emperor Fredrick Barbarossa of the HRE drowning in the Göksu river.

Camillus if he isn’t assassinated by the AI or die in some battle will live till his 60’s. Also at this point his stats are far too high to lower his gravitas or assassinate him so your best bet is to play damage control; remove him as a general and form a new army with Camillus as the general up in his territory and fill it with mob units as a full 20-stack. If he secedes he won’t have any of the OP highest tier units spawned in. (Secessions will spawn a half stack of highest tier units if there isn’t an army already under their control and yes if you lose that Venetian territory he will take over another province.) Honestly though depending on his party stats, the distance of how far away his territory is and to make the game infinitely more interesting you should try to provoke his party to secede once you do everything mentioned above. That way if he does break off an actual strong faction will be on the map and make the rest of the game a lot harder but more rewarding. P.S. if a party secedes and doesn’t have any armies it will spawn normally 1-3 armies; 1 will definitely be in the territory that secedes and can spawn an additional army in Rome since everyone who is a politician is stationed in Rome. (If you have an army already created, however, the AI won’t spam spawn armies in your capital)

''Cursus honorum: the Ladder of Politics'' - Chapter 4 As we all know, Rome became a Republic after the ousting the tyrannical monarchs. This Republic was led by two annual consules, the most important fascists of all. Did I just say ''fascists''? Yes, yes I did. Fascism was ''invented'' by the Romans. Mussolini used the Latin term ''fasces'' -- something resembling a small bunch of branches topped with an axhead -- as a Roman symbol of power. This symbol was very important to Fascist Italy, because they branded themselves as the modern Roman Empire, a feat at which they ultimately failed spectacularly. Consules ''held fasces''. This means that the two consules alternated supreme power every month. The consul with the most electoral votes had fasces first, meaning he alone presides over the Senate and its affairs. Meanwhile, the other consul held back a bit, until the month afterwards he himself held fasces. The fact that Rome had two consuls was symbolic -- ''no man shall ever again hold sole rule'', Cicero -- but also practical: one of the consuls dealt with politics in Rome, while the other consul was off on campaign with the troops. This way, Rome could cope with a situation in which both war and internal affairs needed urgent attention. Consules had several very important jobs: first and foremost was introducing and passing new legislation. Secondly, every summer elections for next year's magistrates (including consules!) were held and presided over by this year's consules. Consules did have veto-right. ''Veto'', in Latin, means ''I forbid''; a quite literal end to one's ideas, you might say. Furthermore, consules decided when it was time to hold festivities. Romans did not have weekends, but they did have days-off whenever there was a religious festival. Naturally, there were A LOT of festivals for that very reason. Lastly, as we have already mentioned, the consules needed to oversee the Roman war effort. The best consular duo's found a delicate balance between their military and political duties. It was usual for the more prestigious consul to take up the military side of things, seeing this was more important and masculine in the eyes of the Romans. Politics were just an, albeit very important, side-job in Rome. With the office of consul, you might assume you have just about reached your political climax. However, there is one further step: becoming a censor. I will dive into the censorship -- doesn't that mean something else these days? -- next episode. Til next time!

First of all give some of camillus' good units to spurius, put camillus in the south, bring the other 2 armies north and destroy the boii after that try to get an alliance withe veneti and push against ligures. Also when spurius or camillus die make the other spurius a general and build up his gravitas

Agree with you. Also any other powerful rival family members could be recruited as generals and sent to their death. In my opinion, this is the best, if not the only way, to keep control.

lion bring more siege equipment, it will mean a few more turns of attrition for you but it is worse for who's in the city and siege towers can get a number of soldiers onto the wall quickly while protecting soldiers from missile fire also get spurius a bride, he deserves it for his loyalty.
