Camino Lebaniego: A Walk in Cantabria

The Camino Lebaniego starts on the coast in San Vicente de la Barquera, follows a river route through the foothills of the Picos de Europa, passes through Potes - one of the most beautiful pueblos in Spain - and ends at the monastery at Santo Toribio.
We walked the 72 km route in 3 days.

This is our 8th Camino together. In 2024, we walked the Camino Sanabrés, Camino Lebaniego, Camino Vadiniense, and the Camino San Salvador. We hiked the Camino Frances, Via Podiensis, Camino Primitivo, and Camino de Invierno in 2023, the Camino del Norte in 2019, and the Camino Frances in 2017. We packed ultralight bags for all of our journeys.

Y'all, this might be my favorite one yet! Your laughs and smiles are so infectious, even in the most challenging of conditions. I had no idea this existed, even though I def remember that turn off on the Norte. I'm gonna be back in Spain in a couple weeks to hike the GR11, and I'm *definitely* stopping by to do this little gem as well. It's exactly my cup of tea. Also, I was watching this with my girlfriend and when Shawn's sandals came up she was like "those are your sandals!" and then when she saw Lainey's hat "she's wearing your hat!". I couldn't help but crack up.

this was wonderful - so well shot and wow a little surfing in the Camino as well - I still have not managed to get a wave while walking! (However, living in Jbay is helping fill my surfing quota) Stoked that there is a new Camino on my list - this was so well edited also -it was inspirational - I loved spending that last 30 minutes watching - looking forward to the next vlog.
