Hi Noggy. I'm more or less right down the road from you! AZ-US side, Green Valley which is on I-19, halfway between Nogales & Tucson. I tried it tonight, tasted very good. ~Miss Jean

This is a great recipe! I'm a real fan of soups and Mexican food in general (I recently retired to AZ... and love of Mexican food is one of the reasons). I have never seen this in a restaurant other than the take out area of the little Mexican meat market in my area (Green Valley). It's tasty, easy to cook, and makes good use of a lot of the "gotta eat them" leftover stuff I had in my fridge. Had to improvise a bit. I only made 1/2 the recipe because I don't usually have a lot of tomatos unless they are from my garden.... I also did not have Lawrey's seasoned salt, but substituted regular salt plus about 1 tsp. of powdered mole negro I had. I also skipped the corn, since I didn't have any of that at all... but I will try it next time. I used Oaxaca cheese (my favorite Mexican cheese) rather than the mix of Muenster & Queso Fresco. For people who live where they can't get Mexican cheeses I would suggest maybe a mix of Muenster and Mozzarella. At any rate, it was very yummy so thanks for the recipe. ALSO... I love all your survival food stuff. I worry here about might be happening to our economy and while I can't do full out survival stuff since I'm handicapped (mobility impaired)... it's comforting to learn how I can use things like cactus. Do you know is lizard eatable (I see them). And have you ever done (or would you consider doing) a video on how to make a snare to capture small birds, lizards, or bunnies? Thanks! ~Miss Jean
