I really admire this Pierre guy, he was doing everything he could to make sure Julius was being fair to the Esse in the testing. Quick tip...the liquid from canned beans is often high in salt and also contains stuff which once in the gut, creates gas. So the liquid is better avoided when camping etc. Please "Google it" for more details :)

In Australia we call "bread on a stick" like that "damper". Check out some simple "damper" recipes online...it's great in the snow if you add herbs like rosemary and serve with "heinz brand big red tomato soup." :)

For you struggling with the ESEE and the fire steel, I always hold the knife still and pull the fire steel, so I don't hit the tinder :p

I'm 16 from the UK and love the things you do, do you have any tips for someone of my age to get into this sort of thing. Ive always been part of scouting etc but I want to do more stuff wild with just me and nature. What kit would you recommend: knives, bags, clothes? I want good quality but being 16 I don't have much money either. Could you do a vid looking at cost vs quality?

Echter is de upload frequentie overall juist meer geworden de laatste maanden, hoewel nu even een kleine break. Je ziet graag solo challeges? I like to bring those croissants in a can that you have to roll yourself. Wrap it around a stick and when it's done you put a sausage in it. Not as juvenile as it sounds:p How much does your kit weigh on an average trip btw?
