Great stuff Eddie! Wonderful to see you out on an adventure! Over the years you sure have seen some rough weather, and midges! Take care, Ossie

Great to hear from you Ossie hope you are well. Been quiet due to family bereavement and I have to care for someone full time. ATB.

Sorry to hear of your bereavement Eddie, it has been a rough couple of years for many. I had a hard time this winter but doing a little better now. I walked every morning, more of a stroll than a walk but I am out there to the best of my ability. On we go Eddie.

Nice one Eddie, I passed through Angle Tarn a few years ago on the C2C it's a cool place but too popular and was rammed with tents so I walked on. I like the old footage, I used to watch outdoor enthusiasts 101 back in the day 👍🍺😎

Yes it's popular, Lukes ok I'm still in contact with him.

Lovely weather Eddie but still an enjoyable experience, those Hilleberg's are bloody good tents but at nearly a grand a throw, phew, I was tempted to buy the Soulo black years ago but I couldn't justify it in my head so went for Terra Nova, the Kerlon ripstop that Hilleberg's are made from is ny on indestructible, I tried ripping an example piece of 1800, no way was that tearing, but there price stopped me, I'm not climbing everest. Nice one mate and atvb to you.

Absolutely ridiculous the price of hilleberg tents now, they were always expensive but the last 5 years has been insane. For the most part there not required but some people like to buy what they think is the best. I justify my Soulo with my munro level summit camps and winter camps I think. I'm not a luxury person not interested but camping gear I guess is my vice. ATB.

@@ScotsWildcamper You need one where you camp Eddie fare play and if I was more into summit camps I'd of bought one but I'm a valley/forest camper and like to look up at the mountains haha, sold my Terra Nova now and use a double hooped GoreTex bivi with a tarp over it.

on a group camp awhile back, I figured no bears, or such would brave the number of tents and people to come into our cap. I was wrong, I had my food and a apple pie hanging 5" off the ground and about 3' from my hammock. I heard the bag being torn down and some noise. I got out to see a bear running off with my pie. I was chasing him barefoot in my underwear to get my pie. I never recovered the pie. Bear returned the next night for seconds. So awesome you guys all get together. hang in there and never stop!

Always abit jealous of your wildlife Alan TBH. I looking after my dad full-time now but hopefully get out occasionally. Going back to wildlife you don't see many African wildcampers lol.

I remember that first Angle Tarn with the crew, must be a canny few years ago now mind. Shame you did not bring the same forecast with you on this trip and funny enough, I always go up the high path and down the low path when I go up in that area. They were sure right about the weather, looked and sounded real rough but looked a canny morning. Two day battery must have meant very little filming or one awesome battery and I know GoPro batteries are not the best but they now do a new long lasting battery, which improves things no end. I use the GoPro 10 so unsure if the same battery will fit the Hero 8 mind. Cheers Alan

I would settle for 2 good weather days and 1 bad anytime Alan TBH. Didn't film as much because already been to Hallin Fell and angle Tarn a few times but the batteries do last longer than the Go-pros. I wanted to use the go-pro 8 on this trip but I couldn't find it lol. . Thanks fcr watching and take care.
