I was homeless for several years and camped under a bridge several times. In the beginning I only had a sleeping bag camping under a bridge and waking up in the morning with geese standing at the foot of my sleeping bag. When I got hired by the company I still work for now I lived in a tent under a bridge about 1 mile from work for the first 8 months I worked there. Today I worked my way up from a entry level 2 position to a scale 8 position and now I own my own home with 2.5 acres of land, a newer jeep, and I'm living great

Likely. From a distance they're going to already assume he's homeless, might as well not make pleading his case any harder by also looking the part by being unkept.

Interesting quotations (some of these would be great ads): - “Everyone’s childhood dream is to sleep under a bridge” - “Bridges: nature’s shelter” - Tire’s brand of camping stuff: “it’s not absolute garbage” - “If every bridge in the world was like this, the world would be a perfect place” - “I go camping for convenience” - And, finally, the next day: “It was basically the worst sleep of my life last night”. Loved it ;)

The chains are supposed to drag the ground. It's a static safety mitigation tool. I bet its sound is very noticeable under the bridge.

Just wanna take a second and say thanks for all the videos. You’ve gotten me into getting outside and buy camping gear and enjoy the outside. My kids ages 2&6 love camping. There is no other thing more enjoyable than seeing there eyes light up when you mention we’re going camping. Btw they are huge fans of the channel too. Again thanks Steve for getting me away from busy part of life and helping push me to create awesome childhood memories with the kids. Cheers mate.

You gotta get some boiling action in those mac cups. They're not really an "add hot water" formula. That's why they have all that white powdery crap in em. Add your cheese after noodles are cooked too :-)

I dunno, I spent some time under bridges as a kid. That sounds weird. I mean I was a free-range 80s/early 90s kid and we would sometimes just hang out under bridges as part of a bike-riding adventure etc. I always wondered what it would be like to spend a night there. Other place I wanted to spend the night was in a department store/mall after it was closed. It just seemed kind of illicit and fun. Perhaps I was just odd. Or maybe Edmonton just has particularly enticing bridges?

I slept under a bridge once in China. Luckily a quiet road, but very cold and limited gear. Have had to sleep outside on the side of highways before though. earplugs! you'd have slept like a baby if you had some. I usually just wear one in case something or someone approaches. Then you can still hear/sense. I recommend always having an earplug or two in your kit.
