I have been following you since the days of you stripping the old caravans and clearing the site, both your skills and work ethics are fabulous as you plan everything you do, would be nice if some local builders merchants would give you some sponsorships, would be a great advert for them....watch out for that wind we have forecast for later and stay safe....

When building, IMHO, I use: 1. Wheeled dollies, skids ,etc 2. Block and tackles when raising preassembled walls 3. Steel cable “come alongs” when securing/lifting walls 4. External butt plates on outside corners when lifting/securing preassembled walls Obviously you are doing a great job at this site. I just cringe when I recall my previous “ accidents/mistakes”. Thx for bringing us along 😊😊😊 John Ken

Emilie, with driving, and learning to, just relax, enjoy and have fun. The more relaxed you are the easier it is to learn. The only person who could put pressure on you to succeed, is you. So, don't. Take each lesson as it comes and don't stress over errors, no one is perfect or born to drive. I'm originally from the Bridgend area, and a retired driving instructor.

Hi guys, glad it's all going well. I wanted to let you know that I actually got my gazebo from ITS. It was the cheapest version of a heavy duty hex frame I managed to find anywhere by about £70-100 pounds. I've used mine through the last year/year and a half with no issues. Even in some heavyish winds, so I hope that helps. If you get heavy duty screw in ground anchors that also does alot to prevent gazebo lift off. I got those from Amazon. Put a ratchet strap from the frame to the ground anchors on each corner and you won't be able to do much better for a temporary setup. (From experience).

Glad to see the window went on the cabin without any issues! I thought for one moment the farmer wouldn't hear Jon shouting stop and take the wall down! Hope everything stays in place in the wind, my area is meant to get around 55 to 60mph gusts so our garden is gonna take a beating on top the flood I've just recovered from aha Also really excited to see the garden coming along nicely, those carrots look so cute aha almost like Baby Carrots you can get from the supermarket aha shows how resilient veggies are even in harsh cold and rain. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, I always find myself with the biggest smile on my face whenever I watch because you both tackle every challenge with one which gives me the confidence to the same. I hope you both know how much of a positive impact you've had on my mental health, I cannot wait to meet you both in the future 😊

@@CampOutWest it's all dried up now yeah, we found the source of the leak and placed an aluminium board in front of the area where the water was coming in. We also found an overflow pipe that was leaking, so we attached a jubilee clip to it, and it's been fine :) Yeah I heard Isha was really bad near Wales and Ireland so hope everything is okay! I cannot wait to see what the cabin looks like with all the walls up! Martin & Haze, thanks so much for supporting us along the way 🧡 thanks for the suggestion on a temp workshop - we would love to get another shipping container if I'm honest but they are a bit of a nightmare to move around easily

Fab veg. Doesn't matter what shape your carrots are, you chop them up to eat them anyway. Remember you can eat the carrot tops and the beetroot leaves too. Hope the winds don't blow all your hard work away 🙏.🤞.

I love seeing the place come together! It's not a quick solution, but perhaps in the future you could put in some shelter belt trees from native species. There's a permaculture channel called "Cairn Of Dunn Croft Permaculture" who are building up in Scotland with a lot of similar principles to you, I think, and they have some good videos on this, better than I can explain here :) They also plant crop trees like hazels for coppice wood and of course nuts!

If I were you, I would take out the Fir trees. They have shallow roots and create a big mess with their needles. Having them so close to the house and garden is scary, especially since you have strong winds. Our neighbor just had a fir crash into his house in the last storm. Could you also plant a wind barrier around your house, once budget allows for it? Maybe a thick hedge. If you can afford another shipping container, that may be a dry and weather resisting work shop. You could clad it in a material of your liking and incorporate it into your landscape, once your house is built.
