Those barbell hip thrusters are the best glute builder IMO. They are absolutely brutal, too. If you squeeze and take a very quick pause at the top, those cheeks will be burnin!

A really good point made in this video, that men don't put enough work into the glutes. The glutes are quite possibly the strongest muscle group in the body, and SUPER important to some of the biggest lifts around, particularly the squat and deadlift. You want a super huge squat, right?!

Great content as always! Glute work has helped my job performance significantly, huge fan of dedicated glute movements. Strength and conditioning for firefighters would be cool, not circuits in gear that mimic a CPAT, but GPP to support throwing ladders, moving hose, crawling through a house, things like that. Too many "firefighter workouts" are just some series of stations that are set up like an obstacle course, no real strength work involved per se.

the hex bar is wayyy better than a regular bar, the bar disrupts your plain of motion by forcing you to adjust your back under tension to get around your knees. But with the hex bar, your totally unencumbered when your lifting and can work on perfect technique. I cant wait to get one

So many fitness chicks are naturally narrow hipped. These types should especially lift. You keep toes pointed in with hip abduction otherwise you tend to work hip flexor doing more hip flexion. Her knees cave in during the jump squats smh

Careful on the hip thrusts... Her form isn't good at all on the eccentric portion of the movement... You need to stay braced and only break at the hips as a whole unit, I mean neutral back... She is overarching her back like waaaay too much putting unnecessary stress on her lower back and shifting the tension away from her glutes... Brandon's form is way better !!!!

@@aardbeienroomijs hey there. Depends on the person, some people are hamstrings dominant and others are quad dominant, so moving the feet a little further or closer can help with that issue... That being said you are right, for most people having the knees in line with the ankles in order to make a 90° angle will work just fine. Me I keep my feet a little bit closer to my body cause otherwise my hammies take all the beating.

But you can also try to get a wider stance, turn your toes a little bit more out are open your knees during the movement... You can also try to put your feet a little bit further... Just try to change it a little bit... Also a band around the knees can help to force you to push against it!

The folks above are right, weights will help to a point but you want them mostly to build joint stability. Then think sprinter exercises, box jumps, quick feet, intervals...google ‘plyometrics’. If you want to get serious improvements as always find a legit professional trainer, sprint coach, or athletic therapist.

what they said is true, jumping higher requires power,flexibility, etc. training your lower body with weights(compound lifts for power,unilateral excercises for muscle imbalances and to assist your compound lifts) is a good first step then u can add plyometrics so u can use the power that u've obtained in weight training effectively and u can also include core excercises as it can help all the muscles in the middle part of your body with injury and muscle imbalance prevention.

It is really noticeable how Dude does only "half reps" in every move... Kickbacks are very low... jumps to tires he's not bending knees on top at all... everything "easy reps"... You could do those moves forever if you don't actually do them properly...
