I live in a Christian household and go to a Christian school and go to church every Sunday. My whole life the community I am around has told me that it is a sin to be gay and the kids at my school go out of their way to harass anyone they think might be gay. I haven’t come out to my family because of this and idk what they are going to say about it. These things that people say are extremely harmful and can mess with someone pretty bad. I already don’t feel safe at my school but if any of the kids found out I was gay I would be even more unsafe. It’s dangerous, harmful, and not even true. Please be kind to everyone ❤
@Frostorm7778 ай бұрын
The community is right. It is a sin. There’s verses in the Bible clarifying it too. Deuteronomy 22:5 and Leviticus 18:22 for example. But listen to this… We hate the sin but love the sinner. It is not out of hate my friend, but out of love that we help guide and share that with you. And yes it’s true that we are sin and fall short and we all need saving. But if your faith in God is true, there will be at least some kind of resistance in being gay or transgender or any kind. If there’s not, and you’re totally happy and see nothing wrong with being gay, then you are not a true believer of God.

Frostrom is correct. It is a sin. This guy on video is a false teacher. A wolf in sheep clothing. I have a brother in Christ who struggles with sexual attraction to the same sex. He fights against this urge, because he knows it’s a sin(He came to this conclusion on his own through his own study). He previously lived a gay lifestyle, but knows it was wrong. It’s not how God created him. My mom owned a beauty salon, and she had many gays working for her. She loved them, but saw the results of their lifestyles. Several of them had aids, all of them were alcoholics and suffered with depression. There were numerous times they came into work with black eyes, and various bruises on their bodies. When asked, they told my mom their boyfriends had been beating them. I personally worked with several homosexuals. One told me he had received a “pink slipper”. I had no idea what that was, and they informed me it was when your rectum became inverted from intercourse. Truly sad. God loves you. He can see what the gay lifestyle leads to, and He doesn’t want that for you. Pain and misery is what it leads to from what I’ve seen. God has his commands because He wants the best for us. He doesn’t want to see you in pain or hurt.

It’s not about what we like tho ,the Bible says the heart is deceiving, the moment we put our desires before God ,that’s when He says “you don’t wanna take me seriously, then I won’t change what I need to change in your life” we don’t come to God as we are bc we know we’re perfect or good enough as we are ,we do because we know we’re not, and He is the one who changes us ,if you can’t put God before your desires and your flesh you’re simply not worthy of Him. And btw it’s not about changing completely out of nowhere ,it’s about a constant fight along with God, you cannot claim to be a Christian and purposely sin every day and continuously bc you think that God will still love you, you’re extremely apart from God. Yes God will still love you and He will still be there for you when you turn to Him but you won’t reach eternity by rejecting Jesus or his path. The reason the Bible says we need to come with a humble is heart ,is because we need to understand that we need change and the only one who can help us change is God. The Bible is the word of God and it’s very clear about it (Btw this is coming from a former bisexual who was mainly attracted to men ,I simply no longer live that lifestyle because I chose God instead of my desires)

As for Romans 1, I consider it similar to Deut 28 where people were cautioned that if they failed to follow the Law of God they would be cursed with any number of ailments and poverty. During Jesus' time, the people naturally assumed that poverty and sickness meant the person was sinful. "Was this man born blind because of his own sin, or his parent's?" Jesus refuted the whole concept that we can judge a person's standing with the Lord based upon random curses that might happen to SOME people. If a man's blindness isn't evidence that God hates him, then homosexuality cannot be used as evidence either.
@favournnamdi2883Ай бұрын
I accept your thesis. God loves the whole world. Persons. But he still calls "homosexuality", a state, an abomination and "same sex" and act an abomination as well. A Mother loves her child but that is also the reason she hates him dirty or covered in shit or sick. God's love for us is the reason he hates us being homosexuals or practicing homosexuality. If he didn't love us, he would let us have our way. And sometimes he does so but only so that we can experience for ourselves the ugliness of our lust and run to him for cleansing but unfortunately, many people do not come to him. Lately, society is working hard to make people comfortable being homosexuals when God can totally make them new and help them crucify that lust.

The Common Belief Of To Never Judge When the Bible commands us to not judge, it pertains to their outward appearance. The Bible actually COMMANDS us to judge righteously. “Stop judging according to outward appearances; rather judge according to righteous judgment.”John 7:24 The Belief That “Homosexual” Isn’t Translated Correctly The word in Greek “αρσενοκοίτες” or Arsenokoitēs is a compound word. “arsen” means man in Greek and “koites” means bed in Greek. So, it literally translates to manbedders or men who bed other men. Why did God make me gay? Most people make the statement that God is a hypocrite for making them gay and saying homosexuality is wrong. There are two responses to that statement. Did God make us this way, or did we choose to live in sin? The second rebuttal is that the statement of “We can not choose sinful tendencies when we are born and some people are born gay” implies a presumption that all tendencies we are born with are good. There are many children have violent tendencies and I think most people can agree that violence is wrong. Scriptures about Homosexuality Leviticus 18:22 Leviticus 20:13 1 Timothy 1:10 Romans 1:26-27 1 Corinthians 6:9

After a person has known the will of God, he is faced with a difficult situation cause his own desire is against that. The problem however with knowing the will of God and sticking with one's own will is that God will ultimately give one up to his own lust. It's like leaning over a chasm and God being the only person holding us on and if we keep on resisting him, he finally leaves us to fall. The first and most important commandment is love God. Second is love neighbor. Every Christian has sin, and every Christian struggles with sin. Every Christian has a temptation to re-interpret the Bible to fit their lifestyle. Is not only the gay that struggle with lust. Everyone struggles with lust. Only difference is who you lust after, but is still lust. 1 John said if you say you don't have sin, then you call God a liar. Every Christian have sin even Paul himself. If you say you have no sin, then how will you grow? Christians have one and only one "identity", that is in Christ. You change everything in your life to match your new identity. That is what it means to die to yourself. Your identity is no longer LGBT or lust or drunk etc, but in Christ. A Christian is actually a trans. You transition your identity from male or female to in Christ. Once you loose your identity in whatever it is, you are no longer a slave to that identity. You are free to transition to Christ. So the Bible started this trans movement in Gal 3:28

The second battering ram was me coming to terms with my own homosexuality as someone who profoundly and devotedly loved God & the Bible, and wanted originally to be a pastor-I knew that literally nothing it said about my "origins" were true. If Paul was speaking about anything true, it wasn't about "homosexuality" as we know it today.

I know right? Nothing about me being a serial mass murderer rang true from the bible because it is what I enjoy doing and I love GOD & the bible.. Don't be so naive! GOD draws us, we repent, come to Christ in total submission not with suit cases of sins we want to keep. Go back to repentance, turn away from the old nature. I loved beer, loved getting drunk but I had to leave it behind, I did it but I craved it so bad until one day after resisting it in Christ it was gone. Y'all can say this is why you left GOD, the church & the bible but you never really were in any of it. Y'all just wanted to justify what you love in the flesh rather than Love the Lord so much you were willing to give it all up for him. Y'all will be the first to take the mark of the beast

@sovereigngodlisaloves9525 Жыл бұрын
What you're referring to as an educated answer is misguidance and a ticket to remain in sin. It gets you farther from God. FYI, there is Scripture which states that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was due to sexual immorality. And there are several more Scriptures (beside the ones mishandled here) which confirm same sex sexual activity to be sin punishable by eternal death. What this gentleman should be telling you out of love is to turn from your sin and fully follow Jesus for the glorious salvation of your eternal soul--to preach to you the gospel of Christ which is redemptive.
@spiderguy0110 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it’s not a very educated answer tho ,the Bible is very clear ,and the Bible is not only clear about homosexuality as a sin ,but also clear about sexual immorality in general or even sex outside of marriage. God’s nature was created in the first day with the first humans ,and everything God does has a purpose ,Adam and Eve had a purpose ,marriage has a purpose and family has a purpose ,God sends us to procreate a man and a man can’t do that ,why? Because it’s not if the nature of God ,we are no longer living with God because we decided to disobey Him and sin. God puts homosexuality in the same place as cheating on your wife or having sex outside of marriage ,it’s the same as a man having multiple women ,it’s not of the nature of God. A man who can control his own desires and his own flesh is strong enough to follow the right path ,a man who puts his desires before God is not worthy of Him and is never gonna be able to have a relationship with God. In order to fix that you need to have a relationship with God but in order to have a good relationship with God you need to fix that ,so they’re connected

You've waited for this answer all your life because it's what you want to hear. You've been misguided here. The bottom line is what GOD wants. And He's very clear (in the Bible) on this. We are not to "negotiate away" the text of the Holy Bible, as this man says. It's not "all negotiable." We are to obey God, coming to Him ONE way--through His Son Jesus Christ, repenting of our sin in order to reconcile with Father God. This KZbinr read a Scripture, interpreting that Sodom and Gomorrah's sin was being inhospitable, which is a common and somewhat absurd claim amongst progressive Christians. He didn't read Jude 1:7 which says, "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after STRANGE FLESH, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Strange flesh here refers to same sex intimate relations. As far as saying that Paul had some sort of misrepresentation or interpretation of homosexuality unlike it exists today, we have to remember that the Bible is divinely inspired through the Holy Spirit, so that it the true word of God, so that whatever Paul said, as an instrument of God, is what God says. Also, all types of homosexuality is said to have been known to Paul; from Man-boy relations to committed same sex relationships. They are all represented during that ancient time-frame.

First and foremost I want you to understand that I am coming at this from a place of full love and you receive no condemnation from me whatsoever, we all have our burdens to deal with. We as believers must take the Bible as the infallible word of God. We must seek to base our beliefs off of the Bible and not base the Bible off our beliefs. There will always be a way to shape the Bible to fit a narrative that isn’t Godly, as it has been done to justify slavery and many other atrocities. We are born of sin and we are taught by Jesus to deny ourselves (Matthew 16:24-26). Good God loving Christian’s should see your struggle and not offer you any hate, but seek to support you as you are. However everything that we do from how we treat ourselves, to how we treat others, and key to your message how we treat our relationships should be solely to honor God. Is it guilt or is it God calling you to repentance? I cannot answer for you, but know that every Christian should love you and that God loves you no matter wherever you are in your spiritual walk or no matter how many times you fall. Seek to honor God above all else. Seek to learn what it means to love (agape) as a Christian. You say he's a loving human being, and you believe his refutations blindly. There are more and very clear Scriptures on the biblical fact that (the practice of) homosexuality is not only a sin, but one which prohibits the inheritance of heaven. If this man were as loving as you say, he would provide the message of the gospel which says that because of the crucifixion of Jesus, redemption is possible! That's good news. The gifts of an existence full of praise, and eternal life are still possible through the act of repentance from sin. The first thing is to confess that Christ is Lord and to believe that God raised Him from the dead; this is how a person becomes saved (from hell/eternal damnation). Warning people so that they will not have eternal death, but instead life everlasting, is a true act of love. And it's love to let them know how it is accomplished. Telling people it's not a sin and to remain in sin is where the misguidance is.

@@nedsantos1415 My comment said what the Holy Bible does--which is the irrefutable word of God. I didn't write it. He's our designer and knows best for His own creation. I gave you the gospel--the good news of Christ and eternal salvation. What you do vehemently reject is the doctrine of Christ, and God Himself. I am but a faithful messenger. Here's what the word of God says about your unkind response and deafness to HIS word and ways: "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 Jesus has commanded His followers through The Great Commission to go out and witness his gospel/the kingdom of God/the word of God. I've pleased God in being obedient to His commandment. So, as for your judgment, name calling and displeasure with me (with a tinge of instant hatred) the Bible says this: Jesus speaking: "If the world hates you (for spreading the gospel) keep in mind that it hated me first." Prayers and blessings that your eyes and ears become open to the gospel, divine love, and the commandments of Christ Jesus the Lord. Not to those whom would attempt to undermine the text of which there is plenty more on this topic. But at present you'd rather be led off a cliff than into the one objective truth of God Almighty who can save you into His marvellous light. You touched on the most important point, but didn't spend any time there. Being a homosexual, as in sexual orientation, is not a sin. There is no biblical basis for thinking it would be. Homosexual acts are a sin. But we are all sinners. Don't hate your neighbor just because he sins differently than you. I view homosexuality as a struggle. A challenge God gives to some people. Their ability to resist sin and deny their own desires can help them grow spiritually.

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. There are multiple bible verses proving that being gay is an abomination, so by cherry-picking the bible you are proving what Jesus said about the end times true and your name can be removed from the Book of Life Revelations 22:19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which is described in this scroll.

As a gay Christian, God showed me the truth. And the truth is that God became a human as Jesus to sacrificially die for our sin, in doing so death is conquered in Christ. Obviously God doesn't want us to continuously live in sin but Jesus saved the world while we were still sinning. The world altogether is fallen, nobody is worthy of eternal life, its by grace alone that anyone is saved. God's unfailing mercy is the reason why anyone comes to the truth so that nobody can boast. Nobody can say; "At least I'm not gay I'm saved", we've all sinned, instead of pointing out who's sinned 'worse' we should be seeking guidance from God. Not a single soul has the authority to say who's going where when they die based off their sin, there is One Judge Who has the final say. When I get to heaven I'll be made whole my sexuality won't matter because there is no sex or marriage in heaven. By that time we'll have ascended, our desire will be for God Who will provide for our every want and need beyond our wildest imagination like nothing the human mind can even cook up. All my life I've been under spiritual attack, even as a child I didn't want to live anymore because the world told me that if you're gay you burn in hell. So this sent me to the Lord God Himself to find out if God condemns all gay people. In truth if you surrender to God's will for you life whether you're gay/trans, if you're a prostitue or murderer, etc, if you surrender to God, God will reveal Himself to you. God will encompass you with the physical presence of His glory and grace so that you know without a doubt Who you're dealing with.

So whenever people try to use an old testament verse to condemn homosexuality, i almost laugh because not only are they misinterpreting the verse, they ignore the huge new testament thing that happened. Thank you so much for clarifying Jude! As a Christian, I also feel it's kind of obvious from the beginning that Sodom and Gomorrah have nothing to do with homosexuality. To put it even more in context, right before that episode, we have the angels visiting Abraham, who's a wonderful host to them! So that's even a more stronger juxtaposition, after all that's what Abraham is famous and a model for, namely, hospitality! I feel Church Fathers, including Chrysostom are responsible for the homosexual rhetoric.
@AurorXZ Жыл бұрын
Great points, and that juxtaposition is absolutely essential. It's probably worth noting that there are two well established interpretive traditions before and during the Second Temple period due to the ambiguities in the Genesis text: as James Kugel put it in _Traditions of the Bible,_ one viewed the core sins as "pride and stinginess" while the other tradition viewed them as "adultery and sexual immorality." The later "homosexuality-first" reading is rooted in the sexual immorality camp and people trying to pinpoint precisely _what_ and _how_ they did wrong from what little the narrative describes. As far as I can tell, we don't really see a homosexual act itself identified as an independently damning element, apart from the dishonor assumed from a male guest being placed in the female/dominated position (supposedly, offering up daughters/women to be raped instead was a concievable alternative). From the topical sampling I found, it does seem like the early Church Fathers may be among the first to tie homosexuality specifically to Sodom. 🤔

Sadly I think Dan is off the mark here. Josephus and Philo cite the story and openly mention that the sin is because of unnatural relations, so regardless of Ezekiel's opinion by the late 2nd Temple period the "sin was unnatural sex" was a prominent opinion. This 2nd Temple interpretation is continued in Jude, where the brief statement about their sins only says they did porneia "sexual immorality" and "went/chased after" heteros sarkos "the other flesh." While yes this statement is vague and a hapax legomenon, but it probably refers to the same opinion as Josephus & Philo. As going after "the other" flesh insinuates they're not going after the correct flesh i.e. referring to an unnatural pairing.

Dan!!!! Great job! You’re video here is fantastic! Thank you putting in the time and effort to expunge on these passages that folks use against lgbt+folks. We are all created in the Image of God and I pray that more lgbt+ folks will be quickened by The Holy Spirit to sort out these matters for themselves. Again, great job, and many blessings to you and you’re family 👏👏👏 Ps. Look up Kathy Baldocks - Unclobbering The Tangled Mess Part 1 and 2 lectures. @AbdullahIbnAbdullah-pk1kf7 ай бұрын
@@Juicejohnson172 actually yes, anyone who gives in to the desires have made them their god. The difference is, I got married to save myself from committing immoral acts and sinning against god, not saying I’m perfect, but I don’t ever wake up, with sin on my mind, planning to sin, knowing exactly what sins I am going to make, premeditate them, and is content with going against my creator, that is a type of sin that knows no fear of god. And there’s no way to rectify it with your lord but to leave off the act permanently. Those who engage and sexual acts unmarried, can always marry and seek forgiveness. And the Lord forgives who he wills.

Excellent video! Listening to this woman makes me so sad. I’m a gay woman who comes from a family of people like this woman. I’ve been with the same person for 20 years, and we just celebrated our 18th year of marriage. Every June, for pride month, my family (I have little to do with them) gets on board with their church’s anti-gay campaign and they find a way to blast me with their “truth” using verses like these, firmly stating their “deep knowledge” of the Bible. They claim they know the truth that hell is real and they just have so much love in their hearts and they don’t want to see people suffer burning hell for all eternity. Every July I go into a deep, dark depression, not because I believe them or feel any shame about who I am, I know the truth. But I have to say, whoever coined the phrase “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” was incorrect. Words of hate, and the venom spewed when they are said, hurt a great deal, especially from people who are supposed to love you. And I’m quite sure that’s the point of what they do, to inflict pain, as well as to feel superior over someone else. Sadly, so many will listen to this woman and people like her and will feel validated in their hate and become even stronger. We all read and interpret our religious texts through who we are in our hearts. Thank you for posting this video and others like them. I just found your channel and podcast and am enjoying all the content.

I come here to tell you that all my life I have been surrounded with people who are from the LGBT community. They have been the most kind and most lovable people and I'm still around them. The way people are expressing their pride today is disgusting and the reason why theres such a negative impact for it today. Idk who these new people are that are screaming their lungs out for everytime they hear something they don't like. However, Jesus let me know that he loved everyone. No matter what their stances may be. He even sat and ate with sinners. He cared about people's problems wether it was them being a prostitute or being other sort of sin. Jesus is love and the Holy Spirit is even stronger. Both the Holy Spirit and Jesus love you so much. I'm sorry to those that never told you Jesus loves you for the way you are. You are all made under the love of the Lord and it was because of circumstances in your lives that you parded away from the faith. Remember, you are alway loved and will forever be loved by the King of Kings if you follow him. Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed.

Understand what "love" is first. GOD'S "love" is Agape not the definition of our one word love. When we have Agape we love HIM so much that we do not want to sin against HIM. Christ's Agape was to bare our sins on his own self. He never was without GOD because HE was GOD. He wanted the cup to pass as he thought about the great suffering of GOD'S wrath on our sin on him - being without GOD as HE had to turn from sin. If you had Agape you would not try to justify your sin practice. Many believe they are Christians & ignore GOD'S Living Word or trybto rewrite it to mean what they need it to mean. Jesus said many are called but few are chosen, he will also say to most " depart from me I never knew you", the lukewarm he will spew out of his mouth. Can we understand why Jesus said to Peter "get thee behind me satan: thou art an offense to me: for thou savourest NOT THE THINGS THAT BE OF GOD, but those that be of men". He went on to say "If any man will come after me, let him DENY himself and take up his cross and follow me." That cross statement is before Christ went to the cross. It was the most feared, worst & dreadful punishment of it's day. Yet take deny ourselves and take rhe death march everyday. Not all fun, games & self pleasures to be a Christian & few will take this challenge
