I don't even believe in sin. I think people can be cruel or kind, be peaceful or more violent, be more thoughtful or more fear-driven...but I don't believe in sin. The closest thing to sin I believe in is...cruelty. When someone is cruel, especially needlessly. Not to defend oneself against a predatory human, but to become a predatory human. So many Christians, in my books, are the most sinful because when they do and act in these ways...they cause much more suffering in this world. Gay neighbours holding hands? It is mentally, emotionally, and physically catastrophic amplified by pregnancy. Rape is not just bad sex. Do you understand the sucicide risk rape victims face even without it resulting in pregnancy? So YES, this is mind your own business, especially if you are Christian, Territory. I'll say that Christianity teaches a sense of truth, really powerfully. Also, children think very black and white and have very little experience, so they are going to push really hard and inconsiderately for something they understand very little. It's also a lot easier to destroy than to build, to condemn than to show the way, and I already said that when you're young you have little experience with which to show that way. On the other hand, Christianity also teaches Humility and other Virtues which would make one less brash and inconsiderate. There are multiple forms of religiousness based on both your tendencies and considerations, and applying these virtues is much harder than not doing it, and I take it that she didn't take the time to develop them.
