Very nice review. The more I watch this machine, the more I like it. Unfortunately it is too big for the areas I regularly ride, so I’m hoping some of the new technology this machine has will make its way into the more compact models in the future.

Great review Jon! Sounds like a great car to consider for future. The auto transmission is something the market has been requesting for years! But it would be hard, for me, to give up Ride Command and steering wheel controls. Wish the car to car technology would be adopted by all the UTV manufactures. Knowing the exact location of all the riders in your group (no matter what brand UTV) is so important when off roading.

I specifically talked to Can-Am about Ride Command at the media ride and told them that Polaris had them beat when it came to maps and group rides.

Watching another channel rock crawl they had issues with it repeatedly going into neutral when they spun the tires at all. I guess it's a safety feature to not break the transmission but made some obstacles nearly impossible unless they went full bonzi.

Hello great place to try your new rig out. I met you this year at King and hammers and the trailer of shock therapy. You probably don’t remember me, but it was an old man that shook your hand. I’ve been looking at this new Maverick car and yes, it is absolutely I think there’s only one word bad ass only problem is I gotta sell my 2020 RC turbo RR whatever is there I don’t know. Looks like it’s flooded out there so we’ll just see what happens only have about 900 so I didn’t destroy it just kept it great shape, I hope I get to go to Hamburg and see you out there again. Have a wonderful day. Keep that up.

Tires seams to hard, lower the pressure for crawling will help a ton. Also 1st gear doesnt seem very "low". You should be able to crawl half the speed you were going to get better control

Good review. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people make complaints about them upper A arms. That will never work in rock crawling or east coast stuff. I think this machine will shut a lot of naysayers up once it gets out there and people start using it on the trails. People act like the upper A arms are sticking out beyond the tire. If you leaning over that hard to touch those knuckles. One you are either going to roll completely over . Two you are going to drag or take out the entire side of the rig. It’s common sense people.
@downbytheriver50110 ай бұрын
Just did 250 miles of rock crawling with it in sand hollow on the maze(x3), double Sammy (x2), plan b, parts of the fallen, ledges, west rim, etc etc and the only time I even came close to the upper a arms being an issue was dropping into plan b there was a nasty off camber section and overhanging obstacle to the left. That’s it!
@markball702810 ай бұрын
@@downbytheriver501 I figured that would be the case. Seen lately that there are idiots out there that are trying to make the Maverick R look bad. It’s popping out of gear when in drive mode. It does this when tires start spinning on like a climb or rock crawling. If they would put it in manual mode it doesn’t pop out of gear. 🤷♂️🤦♂️. They are so use to CVT that they simply don’t know how to operate the Maverick R.
@downbytheriver50110 ай бұрын
@@markball7028 it took me one ride to find that out. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of info out there regarding this, so I spent hours looking through the owners manual, perusing KZbin, and asking on several YT vids what the solution is. Now it works amazingly. It’s geared a bit high for slow crawling though.

Time will tell if this is a better setup. Those knuckles will be no doubt a problem rock crawling and trail riding when you’re not flat on the ground and have to go under ledges, roots, rocks, etc. hopefully they put some upgrades in the X3 without those knuckles.
@markball7028 Жыл бұрын
If you are that far into a ledge you are going to take out the entire side of your side by side or tip over. The knuckle isn’t extended past the tire.

I just picked up an identical car at Moto Expo in Concord yesterday for under 41k OTD. I own a 2 seat x3 with full shock therapy iqs, desert storm turbo and just about everything else you can put on and this Mav R blows away every aspect of my x3. I planned on keeping the x3 for a backup but now I don't know if I will even want to drive it anymore since the Mav R is such a better machine. go ahead keyboard warriors and nitpick all you want while I am more interested in driving this state-of-the-art machine.

I wish nothing but the best for u. I’m a tech at a dealership in NorCal and we’ve had nothing but problems with these. The first one we got had the some suspension wires that were not connected from the factory and most of the other 1s we got they r throwing out suspension errors. What makes this whole situation annoying is that it never throws a code so we either have to find a solution or wait for BRP to find 1.
