Tell your employer "Sorry, I am uncomfortable sharing my pronouns in emails" - if they don't respect that, then be prepared to sue their behind.

Pronouns are for reference, not preference.

I don't think an employer has the right to use aggressive phrases like "Bloody Hell" when addressing an employee.

The right is called' free speech'. People can use what ever language they like, providing it's not incitintimg a crime.

If your employer wants to know your gender pronoun you need to get a better job with sane people around it.

He, Her, Ze, Zop, It, Them, They (not plural apparently) What ever you want ... which is understandable since you can identify as any one, or more simultaneously, genders that you can just invent ... LOL

Pronouns are grammer. In emails you dont even hear the person so you have no idea if they are a man, a woman or whatever. Knowing they use he/him for example means you could start the email with Dear Sir, but the woman in this short would probably not appreciate being addressed as Dear Sir. People need to remember pronouns are a grammatical tool, like nouns and verbs, they are not themselves political any more than adverbs are

Yeah, I think trying to argue that using pronouns or even just supporting human rights in general is 'political' is just bizarre. That said, I also don't think any employer has the ability to force an employee to do ANYTHING they don't want to do, employees should always have the right to resign if they don't like there emplyers rules.

@@alantbaird being forced to resign is using force. so your post seems to not support employee rights after all.

@@Layarion I think the 'right' to resign is the important one. I don't think an employer should be allowed to force employees to wear pride pins or nazi flags or work naked. And I think the way an employee can refuse is by saying NO, if you want that I'll resign and then the employer gets to choose whether they prefer there choice of uniform over the employee. I don't think it would be reasonable for an employer to have to change there uniform simply because one employee didn't like it. Nobody has a 'right' to work for a particular employer.

@@alantbaird sure it's important, but you need food on the table and they damn well know that.
