If someone asked me, I definitely would. I have very strong opinions. Men and women are different, but if a man would want to be referred to as a woman then that's fine (but no one should be forced to do that!) Now the issue comes with men and women's bathrooms. I don't think it's appropriate for someone that clearly looks like a man (a beard and tall) to go into a girls bathroom, or a grown woman in a bathroom with boys and urinals and shit. Go to the bathroom of the gender you look like. That's my opinion.

This actually isn't a good argument against the gender studies. While I agree that gender studies should not be a minor let alone major in college, it is not because seemingly simple questions can't be answered easily. For example, I am a mathematics major, and alot of my studies is going back to basics and formally redefining all of mathematics. In my modern geometry class, we are studying questions like "what is straight?" And "what are angles?" These questions are seemingly simple, but not so straightforward to answer

It's very interesting that you say that "these kids are completely unable to think for themselves" because they are actually breaking the social norm. Throughout history, we never "think for ourselves". We constantly follow societal norms. For instance, women are seen as people that should stay home and do house work while men are out getting jobs. When people closely followed this norm, they didn't think about themselves, only what society had told them to think. Adding to the example, when women starting getting jobs by themselves, that was seen as a "catastrophe" and the "destruction of our culture". What this video is manifesting (of course, with a lot of bias), is the change of social norm, just like women beginning to get jobs. It happens all the time and it happens as a progression to a more equal and open society and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Kylealien IMO teachers should 'teach' per-say, but simply to present ideas and challenge thought. I get what you're saying and agree, I just believe the idea of teaching kids what to think vs challenging them to think has become the issue. Now we have teachers 'teaching' kids about these complex topics through their own warped perspectives, and with an absence of any challenge, those ideas seem universally correct. Science is of course the exception when we talking about things that are quantifiably true and can be objectively answered regardless of opinion. Problem is the political lens has stretched over every field of study now, even fields that aren't susceptible to political ideologies. We are quite literally teaching children about choosing a sex because it's a foundational idea and then teaching them later that there's no difference in sex. We know it's a political thing because if teachers really believed in the fluidity of gender and the ability to choose and change it contextually, they wouldn't feel the need to teach people about choosing one. Choosing a sex is antithetical to every other current gender movement. It's not about the freedom of children, it's about the creation of more people not in the boxes they want destroyed. They are using children as shields of their ludicrous ideas while they ignore the evil behind it. It's the cherry on top of my decision to single issue vote on gender/identity politics for the rest of my life.
