Really appreciate the newsletter, and it's cool to see the number of subscribers go up. Anyone that hasn't should sign up, Steven isn't trying to sell anything and it's got a ton of wisdom. Even the stuff I don't 100% agree with gives me things to think about. It really speaks to your character that you're using your influence to help people, in my opinion. I'll pull my head out of your ass, now, just want you to know I appreciate it and encourage others to sign up.

I feel like Steven was right mentioning how he pulls back when swung at but he's not allowed to kick in boxing. It's really hard to break years of training programming. I know a lot of kick boxers will pull back like that and either bring up a head kick or front kick/ knee/elbow.

ISKA is weird in a way that a lot of guys aren’t the best in the world but the best will compete in ISKA from time to time. Ernesto Hoost competed in ISKA after winning a K-1 Grand Prix.
@AHighlander

Yep. Was tryna explain this to a fighter in our gym that while some of the world’s best strikers compete for (and win) ISKA titles, there are several which are vacant, won, then never defended. Sometimes owing to fighters chasing other belts like WBC/IMF or bigger opportunities on the likes of GLORY or ONE Championship.

@MacStatic What do you mean he looks good for his age, He is only 37! Four months before my 35th birthday I qualified to compete for employment for a fire department, Out of 33 other applicants I finished second in the physical test! Other than me the oldest person there was only 28 years old, Half of them didn’t even come close to my time and 5 of them we’re throwing up afterwards! While we were standing around waiting for our turn I noticed people looking over at me and chatting and I knew it was because of my age, But when my turn came all of their smiles disappeared as I removed my sweatshirt to reveal 6‘4“ and 240 pounds of ripped muscle! Growing up I was always a string bean and weighed between 145 and 150 pounds, Show my buddy who was overweight wanted to start working out but didn’t wanna go alone so I said I would go with him! We will run on the treadmill for an hour every day before hitting the weights, After five years I had family members who didn’t even recognize me! I am now 50 and still in better shape than most kids in your 30s, If you think my story is BS reply with your email address and I will prove it with pics!

For any other kickboxer, you look at their record, you see if there's any padding or kayfabe on their record, you look at the promotions they fought under, you look at who they beat and who beat them, you look at the footage of those fights, you look at the overall trajectory of their career. Things that also go for boxing, mma, muay thai, sanda, etc. For Tate, all people need to hear is "he won a championship or two" and then even _try_ to discuss it deeper and it's "he can beat you in a fight." Even if that were true (and you don't always know that it is), it's not new to speculate a pro will likely beat the average human in combat. But that's _not_ what's being discussed. Can Tate fight? Yeah, he can. But he was a nobody in the world of kickboxing until people retroactively used their worshipping of him to claim otherwise. Most who train can name good to mid fighters in a dozen countries but Tate's name was never even considered in combat sports conversations until his newfound fame, his stans rarely know about or train in them. And with the stuff he openly brags about, he really shouldn't be getting this blind reverence, at least Mike Tyson was already a legend before he was convicted of the thing Tate brags about doing, _and_ emigrating to get away with.

Its funny that there is so many people saying hes this and that he wouldn't stand a chance against this person and that, but he did, in hes prime he beat the best to become champ , he was a 4 time champ from two weight class. dont that say something🤷‍♂️ until people have achieved what he has in that ring you have no place to say anything, its just you and them no one one eles apart from that bell, is he legit well yea it obvious

I'm not talking MMA .Kick boxing is what I was referring to. Once upon a time I was into it things happened I followed his short but lucrative career . he still has a good jab and can still front kick and body kick he was even throwing some good body hooks for his age not bad.

@@millroyboy07 Your comment can also be "disregarded". What someone is accused of on what they "allegedly" did, also without any proof mind you, does not take away from what they have already achieved, like him being a world champion kickboxer as well a successful Entrepeneur.

@@og666 spoken like someone who has no idea what he's talking about. Being a world champ in a league that's "not so great" doesn't take away his legitimacy as a fighter. That's like saying that The Professor isn't that good in basketball because he didn't play in the NBA, or that Ichika Nito isn't that great of a guitarist because he isn't in a world-famous band.

@@millroyboy07 not a tate fan but, it's funny none of these allegations were proved. Further more the women who were "involved" even said it's not true. The others said he used them.
