Can active aero, 4WD and lots of power make up for all that extra weight coming from touchscreens, electric windows, speakers and cup holders?
Leave a like if you enjoyed the video and subscribe for more simulations!!
The physics of some models may have been modified to replicate real-life performance as close as possible.

@swecreations
@swecreations Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.Wolf_947 That last part is not exactly true, ABS cuts down your braking distance by a lot, it's not "interrupting", that's misleading, it's continually adjusting braking force to keep it at the absolute limit and maximise performance. That grip is everything when braking is true though, what brakes you use make very little difference, the only difference they make is for how many laps you can sustain that braking for.

Once in the past, I experienced a "little ride" in my friend's rally training Škoda car... (his father was a professional rally driver). It was just a "baby" - rookie training car but still, I was shocked by the raw element. The suspension is so hard so you REALLY feel every single little stone on the road... slick tyres are also completely different world. And just the feel of completely stripped car where you hear all the noises, little stones flying from the tyres etc., etc... So this is no surprise. But as we can see in case of Porsche here, the "tax" for some comfort does not need to be that high...

I think it might be possible on a track with lots of long straights (Road America, or maybe Sebring comes to mind) and if the road car is allowed to be on racing slicks. But largely, the cornering and braking advantage between a road car and a race car with heavy aero is massive on any track where top speed isn't an issue. This is why I love mutli-class road racing. Love seeing lower downforce GTD cars blow by GTLM cars on the straights, only to be obliterated by GTLM on the turns/braking zones.

I'm nowhere near a professional simracer but I can give two tips: 1 Practice makes perfect. This works with every car and every track. Do 10-15 laps with the delta time. Try different things and see what makes you faster (brake a little bit earlier, a little bit later, more steering wheel imput, less steering wheel imput, get a bit more of that kerb or maybe less... 2 Look for lap guides on KZbin. Even if they are from other sim. AC, ACC, rFactor 2, iRacing, Automobilista 2 etc... have gotten to an incredible level of realism (car physics, laser scanned tracks...) . So much so you can use an iRacing guide and unless you are way above average it will make you faster in AC for example. You can even use real-life footage. This will work most of times unless you want to get to that top level where you are gonna need every hundred of a second and each sim has its own tricks (setups, driving techniques...) Hope this can help you!!

How about race cars from the past vs their modern equivalent? GT40 1960’s vs Ford GT? Toyota Celica ST-205 Grp A vs GR Yaris?

It’s recap time! 1st race: The Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo easily vanquishes its road-based counterpart. 2nd race: The Audi RS 3 LMS swallows its road-based counterpart whole. 3rd race: The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup SOMEHOW holds off its road-based counterpart in the closest duel of this video. Last race: The Hyundai i20 N Rally1 inhales its road-based counterpart like a 3-course meal. Final score: Race cars - 4️⃣ Road cars - 0️⃣

It is built to TCR regulations. All TCR cars are FWD and have 2.0L turbo

Find me a way to convince Mercedes, Audi, Porsche and Hyundai and renting a circuit and I'll make it happen. You drive one car and I'll drive the other. As easy as that😂

Why does a race car start in front of a normal version? It would be much better if race car started behind road version

I would have loved to see the McLaren 720s (GT3) in comparison. Imho it would be as close as the Porsches or even the one road version to beat the GT3 race version, as the GT3 version very nerfed.

Nice. I imagine after a couple of laps the road car’s brakes would be boiling. No replacement for a purpose built car.
