ty vs maru game 2 is the reason nobody likes tvt. nothing happens and then maru tries to jump the production with mass viking but ty built thors. that's it. however it still took over 30 minutes. i've seen games like that in gold league.

You are correct about MMOs PiG. I got hooked on EverQuest in High School, hours, days, significant portion of a year play time. Then World of Warcraft in college, oh boy. I'm 38 now and have no fear of alcohol or weed being a problem. I've known MMO crack.

2:15:14 good point. I smoked crack at the start of the pandemic and started playing wow. I managed to quit smoking crack but am still playing wow

Cure beat Maru really decisively at Dreamhack Atlanta, the Oceanborn game was some of the best TvT I've ever seen, he smoked like 10 BCs with Cyclones and Ravens

That was a Bo3, and on the previous patch where Cyclone was stronger than now. Maru crush Cure in Bo5+.

Maru group was kind of boring as expected but some good showings by both SHIN vs Creator and while TY still clearly has some derusting ahead of him, the unconventional BW style made game 2 hit above its expected weight class. Reynor did a phenomenal job joining State in casting the games. He brings a lot of great insight, especially as he's expanded from purely a Zerg player to (probably eventually) a "Random" player. Hopefully he does well in group B, but even if he gets knocked out, I'd love for him to join State and Tasteless on a cast again. I also really enjoy you casting these games, as you bring your own insights to the mix. Makes me wish I could play SC2 worth a shit. I feel like there's still so much life left in this game despite Blizzard abandoning it and the "balance council" tending to be pretty Terran-favored.

I dont think TY is that committed to SC2 anymore, he implied that this could be his last GSL tournament.

TY said this would be his "last dance" with SC2. He has been back for a bit (since last year) but never fully committed to participating in online SC2 tourneys but rather just low key ladder matches here and there (Didnt qualify for 2024 GSL Season 1 and IEM). He qualified for both ASL and GSL this season but he's probably gearing towards prepping for ASL from this point forward, especially with him getting knocked in the ro16 in the GSL
