Unbelievable what Social Security administration put us through I also have a mental disability along with multiple physical disabilities DDD,, and just dealing with this contributes to my mental disability which is very sad and annoying!!😩 picking up COVID didn’t help me either,,, The muscle pain in my muscles hurt so bad,, I can’t even sit or lay down for too long if I do anything during the day like a load of laundry I won’t be able to move the next day from the pain!! Sucks getting old!!

I have mental health issues and had a horrible car accident and it fractured my neck and needed c5-c7 fused then i went back to work and worked as long as i could until i just couldn't do it anymore. I applied for disability and during this time i had a psychiatrist for years of medical records, pain management records, exams, tests, procedures and still got denied the first time. They actually said im denied " because i still have the use of my arms and legs") no lie. Tried every injection, test you name it and still denied again. Had to get lawyer and final got a hearing in front of judge after being yanked around for almost 2 years and was finally approved. With acceptance letter the judge actually said that my first application should never have been denied. Im thankful i finally got approved but having a judge basically say i was screwed over for the last 2 years really upset me. I know some people try just for the heck of it but when you have proof and a huge stack of medical records and proof that i at least tried to go back to work should account for something. Really felt let down. Since then ive had a l5-s1 back fusion and another next fusion of c4-c5 . Insurance companies are just as bad. I needed the last neck fusion and tried every test, injection, therapy and jumped through every hoop they wanted and still took 2 YEARS of suffering before it was approved. My surgeon with over 30 years experience spoke to the insurance companies doctors and was a joke. He finally just had it with the last one and they got in a screaming match with the insurance dr admitting it was a " blanket denial" and that he hadn't even looked at my records or anything, just denied it. After the screaming match my surgeon told him some he wanted his private # and gave the guy his and after all that the insurance dr called back within 20 minutes and said i was approved . 2 years fighting ss and 2 years fighting a necessary surgery. All they care about is money and the bonuses that can get by denying paying for stuff. Pathetic.

I'm 25 and have been diagnosed with DDD.... I needed to see this I've had issues for years and usually end up missing up to 2 months of work per year when my back decides to flare up and basically cripple me.... This is a bit eye opening

Lawyer on another video say's everyone has bulging disc and that alone will not move the meter much to win a SSDI case. It would have to be pretty severe and show the bulge it's pushing on a nerve in the MRI, then you might have something. My MRI show's cervical radiculopathy, 3mm broad based posterior disc bulge combining with uncinate arthropathy producing moderate left foraminal narrowing. C6-C7 shows 2mm broad based posterior disc bulge. I do wake up at night with my left forearm and hand tingling like it's asleep multiple days a week. Problem is I also have carpal tunnel in my left wrist also so it's hard to figure out the cervical pain in my arm. My cervical issues though don't compare to what issues I have with my lumbar spine between L3- S1 and also my bi-lateral knee issues. Working a very physical job from 15y/o till 25y/o and then started my second job from 26y/o finishing my working career with 25.5yrs at a nationwide wholesale electrical parts warehouse. Didn't want to stop at 53.5y/o but my body said no more. The work has taken it's toll on my muscular skeletal system.

I just got diagnosed with DDD, Scatica, Hyperlordosis and degeneration foot level 3. It hurt to sit, stand, blending. Alot of pain. I complain about this for 6 years and not one if my doctor did x-ray until I went to chiropractor and doing treatment.

In 2013 I had a laminectomy with spinal fusion of the L5 and S1 vertabrae. I was doing good for about 5 years after surgery. I have developed pain and numbness in my back radiating down my hips and legs and am having trouble walking after a couple of minutes at work and am always supporting myself leaning on what's available around. I did go to a doctor last year and had xrays done. The diagnosis at the time was mild spondylosis. Since the diagnosis, my condition has worsened where I am now unsteady standing and either have to be arched back or am hunched over

I've been denied twice I have DDD, I broke my back at T 10, I had my back fused at s1 to L4, I have osteopenia, depression, anxiety and PTSD, I'm a diabetic, and it's under control. Neuropathy in my feet and legs. All the damn drugs I'm on causes issues with me cognitively. But they think I can hold down a job. And I'm 53.

I'mma so sorry Robin Lee. I'm 53 and have some of the same symptoms. My job that pays just over minimum wage and no benefits or insurance works with me. I'd probably do better on SSI but I too was denied. Two weeks ago I was down and had to use a walker for a week. But I'm not disabled. I have to miss work all the time due to the pain. The only position I am comfortable on is laying down. I don't even want to live any more bit my kids and grandbaby keeps me alive.

I was in a deathly bad car accident and had 5 herniated, bulging and ruptured discs. The nucleus of the discs that ruptured then surrounded and pressed on my right sciatic nerve. In surgery they removed the sheath around the nerve and i immediately started having instances where i’d do something like open a door then i’d fall to the ground and wouldn’t be able to move. When i tried to move i’d get a full body shock that was so painful id black out! This year i had an emg because i’ve lost the feeling not in my right but in my left foot! My good leg! I have massive pain in my glutes, thighs and calves and i cannot work as bad as i want too! I only get $700 a month and are hardly getting by. The worst is for 12 years i was on pain meds ,5 percocet 10 a day and 25mcg of fentinol every 48 hours! I could actually function and had some semblance of a life. On 2018 Doctirs all over the country have stopped prescribing pain meds to anyone! It is a direct disrespect to their oath to care for patients and they are forced to ignore their oaths with threat of losing their medical license! I’m 40 and will unequivocally be dead within the next 5 years but i woukd adk tgat anyone else on the planet that can relate or care enough would do or say something! While i’ve turned to alcohol and spend my days blacking out in extreme pain others are taking their lives on a regular basis or turning to hard drugs like heroin! Before i die i want people to know hell is on earth and i’m trying my hardest to survive! What is an oath to people? How do you promise to do something then just completely ignore what you’re paid to uphold? Does anyone really care? Is the medical field and federal government really chosing death and disparity over life? Aren’t they creating and making life worse for all of us? I didn’t ask for my tiny CRX to be hit head on by a driver in a huge expedition,I don’t want to take meds for the rest of my life! I’m dying slowly in everlasting pain and not a single doctor will ever prescribe me anything but IBuprofen! Thank you for reading

So I have DDD, I had back surgery on my L-5 was a ruptured disc from a disc herniation. I have arthritis on my spine. I was born with a L-6 which I was told by my spine Dr. will cause chronic disc herniations and compression in my spine. They told me by genetics I have a enlargement of my facet bone which could pinch nerves and offset my spine. Then add on my mental health with severe depression, anxiety and now PTSD. I applied back in mid January after my back surgery. Im hoping this is all enough to get disability because my spine surgeon said with or without surgery I’ll still have back issues for the rest of my life and doing any manual labor work I can’t do now. My low back is very weak. I know a lot of people get denied first time but hope I get accepted.

I call horse apples on this. I have DDD, Between L-3 and S-1 I have a collapsed disc, herniated disc, and discs that are DDD. Nuerologist won't even see me because I am also overweight, (morbid), a light smoker, and a type II diabetic, with moderate to severe neuropathy in feet, legs and right arm. I am on 2 types inject-able insulin as well as a pill insulin, along with heart, and blood pressure medications. The L-5 disc is developing micro-fractures and basically falling apart, (MRI with contrast shows this), With 4 years I have gone from being able to walk up to 5 miles a day to assist in weight loss to now having to use a walker just to get from room to room in my apartment, and I have to be sure to be within bathroom distance, or I wind up urinating on myself, I do wear adult depends. Because the jobs I was trained for, hotel/motel maintenance, chef, private security, pretty much all manual tasks, I am no longer able to do. I have been turned down twice because I do not meet these eggheads definitions.

I really don't know how severe it is. I have DDD in my cervical spine at c4, c5, c6 and cervical radiculopathy. It impairs my sleep and I already have insomnia some nights. Even sitting down typing at the computer brings me issues. I can't lift heavy things with my left hand/arm anymore. The doctors have really not given me any plan of attack, so to speak. The Ortho just said, "If you get weakness in the arm, or it gets worse, we'll have to fuse your spine." I'm afraid if I work I'll make my spine worse than it already is. The radiculopathy pinches the nerves in my spine that go down into my arm and cause pain, numbness, tingling, etc. I'm left handed as well. I really don't know what to do.
