Prof. David Nutt is the Founder of Drug Science and the Edmund J Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology. He serves as the Head of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Centre for Academic Psychiatry within the Division of Brain Sciences, Department of Medicine, at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London. He has also chaired the UK Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. For over twenty-five years, Prof Nutt has served as the editor of the Journal of Psychopharmacology, and he acts as a psychiatry drugs advisor to the British National Formulary. He has written over 500 original research papers and 31 books. Notably, his book for the general public, 'Drugs Without the Hot Air' , earned him the Transmission book prize in 2014 for Communication of Ideas.

Thought I recognised that name...he was all across the front pages of the news in the UK in 2009 when the government fired him for stating that booz and tobacco were more harmful than many of the illegal substances

They didn't fire him for the drug harm study that showed alcohol and tobacco being some of the most harmful substances. It was for stating, correctly, that horse riding is more dangerous than taking MDMA. He was making a point that the illegality of drugs and their actual harmfullness often have nothing to do with each other, otherwise horse riding would be more illegal than MDMA.

there are plenty of "ceremonies" here in Aust. especially in the hinterlands of the various coasts in Qld and Byron etc. the arcacia tree/wattle is full of Dmt and they brew it down for a better word . i think it's in the bark? my only concern is wanting someone to help guide you as the real sharmans protect you from the bad stuff that wants in as well as the good. seen to much hebe jebe stuff to not think this would happen so not that keen unless i went to sth America.
