The only way this will work is if Tim Kuniskis is off the leash. If they don't give him full control to right the ship then it's RIP Mopar. Tim has to put the dealer network on notice that if dealer markups continue they will be dealt with accordingly. He can do all the ground work, but if the dealerships continue to marking up the vehicle nothing will change. Mopar Jesus is our last hope for CDJR.

The markups are just plain disrespectful at this point. 10k just because. 3k for ppf, ceramic, and window tint that’s not even installed. Another 3k for some weather protection package that means and does nothing. Now that the 2023’s are considered used they have no incentives. I walked out last week and won’t be returning.

Excellent plan! The possibilities are unlimited. I like what you say about splitting off CDJR as an independent US company. Bring on Frank B. Rhodes to strengthen ties to Chrysler heritage. CDJR needs an inexpensive brand for working class folks. So, bringing back the Plymouth is a fantastic idea. Reposition Chrysler & Imperial as a high-end luxury performance brand. Consider reintroducing DeSoto as a bridge brand between a low-end Plymouth and a high-end end Chrysler/Imperial.

Thinking about it I kind of agree. The only thing I would say is it’s their only opportunity to go upmarket with it. They need to stop trying to take Dodge, Jeep and Ram upmarket. No one buys those brands as that. But you’re right. Idk that Chrysler could do it either. I do think Ram should go back to being under Dodge. Then they can focus and Dodge and Jeep. The biggest issue is development. They can’t just throw in V8s into cars that weren’t developed for it. I think people need to manage expectations for some of these products cause they (Stellantis) is a European company that has developed mostly for their market. Most Dodge/Jeep products with have to work on the STLA platform otherwise they are very behind.

Easy way Chrysler (the brand, not the group of brands) can be saved is sell something other than just a minivan, for example "Chrysler Cuda" rolls off the tongue pretty well, sell luxury SUVs under Chrysler (which I still think of as the luxury brand out of the 4 brands in the group) and not Jeep and keep Jeep a off-road and recreational brand and not a off-road and recreational AND luxury brand, sell the Charger rebaged as a 300 AGAIN so they have a sedan "car-type" vehicle and not just "SUV/Cross-over type" vehicle available among their luxury vehicle offerings, and maybe if they really really want to get daring then sell a luxury truck based off of/on the Ram 1500's platform/design similar to what GM does with and how they treat the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado in their company's lineup.
@garrettsmith2654Ай бұрын
@thinweevil4031 one thing i like to add is, Stellantis won't be splitting CDJR since it is their cash cow. I'm tired of hearing about it. Stellantis is not going to split CDJR, at all. The only way that's going to happen is up to the next CEO of Stellantis and the board of directors. And I think John Elkann won't agree with it.
@MickPsyphonАй бұрын
In most cases, a CEO wouldn't return to the company that unceremoniously dumped them, because: a) They know exactly how bad the damage caused by their successor actually is; and therefore they know how unrealistic it is to wind things back. b) They're already too jaded by how they were treated. c) They've already moved on to other things that they believe in. And d) The Board of Directors doesn't really believe in them; and it shows. Tim coming back to RAM is a huge sign of better things to come for CDJR.

How so? The EV RT has 500 hp and runs the 1/4 mile in 13.1 seconds and that’s at 5800 pounds.
