In the European guidelines, hypertension is defined as a BP ≥140/90 mm Hg (Table 1) while the Americans choose a lower threshold of BP ≥130/80 mm Hg. .......that must mean American drug companies make more money...

You may want to consult a Cardiologist. Some people experience this with atrial fibrillation while they sleep. Aka, panic attacks.

I lately have been registering high numbers right after I get up, but within an hour ot goes back down to normal, and my BP varies greatly throughout the day.

Yes, I woke up with mine elevated and took my blood pressure meds. This is weird because it has been very good lately and I have been having terrible sleep. I wake up suddenly. Also heart rate was up. I may have sleep apnea. Also high Cortisol levels in the morning causes high blood pressure .

Me 33 and my mum 57 both suffer from high blood pressure and on meds for years while active or exercising in day time or night time the blood pressure stays good or even low but the moment we relax to much or sleeping the blood pressure rises when I say this to my doctor all I get is errrmmmm ...That's weird

jaya Jay have you had any luck figuring this out? My mother has been suffering from extremely high night time bp spikes for a year now despite being on several meds... very difficult time we’ve had... no doctors able to help.

My best and safe bet is changing your diet and learn about Alkaline vs acidic food. Many food lead to high blood pressure in a long run including the use of lab made table salt (sub it with pink salt) and cheap sugars (used sugar dates, sweet fruits and coconut sugar). Consuming entirely to much red meat and pork also hell increases 30 percent of cancer. Our blood flow rises before we wake up, and stay rising until the afternoon than it goes back to normal. Drink hot water and herbal tea when you wake up to help cleanse your immune system before you eat. Stay away from process food and sugary drinks which also help clogging our system (lead to obesity) slowly and effect us in a long us. There like 41 grams (nobody ever weight 41 gram ) of sugar in one Pepsi can while mainstream teaching us diabetic is generically passed down. Air Fryer is a great production to used and eliminate oil from entering your body. Me same, even 150 or 160. But during a day it drops to 130 and if I exersise ( and I try to do physical activity every day ) it drops even to 125 or bellow.

@@useruser34587 Hi Gigi, the only thing that hepls me is running and the effect was quite fantastic. Drops even to 110. The bad thing is that I have keep doing it constantly and if I stop for couple of days it goes up once again

Our body need oxygen to live and it basic common sense. Dead flesh isn't a living organism nor generate oxygen when we consume it (to much meat lead to constipation). Look at cows, ox, sheeps etc etc, they're huge from eating grasses and herbs alone. We need to generate air into our body and our few solution are the sun photosynthesis , water (which human made from 85 percent water) lack of water can get us dizziness and lead to headache, backache. Eating plants = minerals. Can eat it ? smoothie it..
