Homelander couldn’t carry the plane because it would just crumple around him. It’s not that he lacked the strength while flying - it’s that the physics would prevent the plane from handling the stress of being suspended by just the surface area of Homelander’s hands. This is the same thing we see in Shazam when he catches the city bus. He says it was as light as a baseball, but we can see him struggle with it because he’s not sure how to balance it without breaking it. Superman himself is an outlier because he is able to do things like carry entire buildings without destroying them, due to how his powers work. Homelander and The Boys universe is slightly more grounded in reality, so Homelander doesn’t have the same ability that Superman does.

I also feel like he was just lazy and didnt want to explain to anyone he made a mistake. Homelander and supes can defy the laws of physics, homelander grabbed butcher and travelled mach 5+ with him while an explosion was going off and butcher was bearly hurt. A train also travelled MM to the hospital in season 4 and didnt impact at all. Another case would be in season 1 when a train travelled to his locker, injected himself and returned like it was nothing. Not hurting anyone in the process and not damaging any doors in the process thats a flash level feat of control over his speed.

@@nani4249 I think Homelander didn't grab Butcher. I think he flew faster than the C4 exploded (mach 24), and pushed it away far enough to where it was more or less out of Butcher's range. He grabbed Butcher afterwards. This would explain why Butcher got knocked out, but not injured. And we know Homelander is that fast, because he's been to space, which is mach 33 if something of human density wants to leave the atmosphere.

I think this could go two ways. 1. This in in the Boy's universe and some face huggers got people who had compound V in their system, which would then give the xenomorphs that power, and that could be bad if they swarmed Homelander while on the ground. Also, I'm taking non cannon into account here. In Superman vs Aliens, a single xenomorph fought Superman while he was on low energy, and the xenomorph managed to crack his skull and superman was saved by someone who shot the alien dead. Xenomorphs can also hide underground which might help or maybe not. 2. This battle is in an empty field and the xenomorphs have nowhere to hide.They would get decimated by the lasers, and the battle would be over quick. So it could be close or it could be one sided. Also quick note. If he goes into a hive he could be caught off guard by a hugger behind him then it's game over.

Molecular acid from xenomorphs will definitely burn him but not through him. He’ll loose his hair at the very most and probably have a few burn marks (like the bruise he got from soldier boy which shows his skin can be damaged) yea this is an easy win for homelander as it would simply be laser vision all over the place and the xenomorphs are not moving faster than he can see or quieter than he can hear.

@ temperature and radiation interact very very differently compared to acid when it comes to skin. There’s no doubt his cell walls are durable enough to survive those attacks but biochemical bonding like what acid does, I’m not convinced. His bones would have never been exposed to something like the xenomorphs acid. With regard to what we’ve seen their acid destroy I think it’s fair to compare it to super acids and if it has similar properties to a super acid bonded with flourine (which loves to bond with calcium) I massively doubt his genetic make up is strong enough to resist it.

I think homelander would get scuffed up pretty bad if overwhelmed by 100s of xenomorphs, but yeah he would laser vision before it got to that point. It really just depends how much stamina his laser vision takes out of him and how many xenomorphs. If he gets swamped and he's gassed, hes done for at that point. But his flying and laser make him superior.

I'm actually not convinced the aliens' acid blood can't burn someone like Homelander. It's burned through a lot of futuristic technology and if people had something like it before first contact, we'd more readily be able to counter it. Fact is, nothing earth has measures up to that stuff. So even if Homelander has been tested against every acidic weapon we have, it doesn't follow that he can withstand an acid-like substance that has burned through weapons, armor, and materials of the future.

This can be answered in one question, does Homelander need sleep, becaise if he does, he's not beating a xenomorph invasion, because he will get caught lacking after enough time, and xenomorphs are smart as shit, he can and will get outsmarted by them, And that's if the xenomorph queen mother doesn't turn him into a cultist via manipulation, cause he's dumb, despite his power, he's a dumbass, and can and will die in an invasion, a one on one fight, yeah, he'd win, but a full invasion and he's dead

I think the Xenomorphs would win. Homelander could probably beat 1, maybe even up to ten 10. But a whole invasion would defiantly swarm homelander, there would just be too many of them for homelander to fight back.

I really hate how seasons 2-4 flanderized Homelander into this man-child characature of himself. In the first season he was smart and deliberate, with his only mistakes coming from the fact he still had attachments to Ryan, his mom and Maeve. With that being said, he should be tactical enough to fight off Xeno’s and take out their nests. It would take time though and I feel he’d willingly put people in danger

This is a good and informative video that I certainly enjoyed, but I do disagree with a few points made. By movie lore the assertion that the Xenomorphs are highly resistant to guns and explosives is not accurate, bullets that hit them generally penetrate them just fine. They are able to continue functioning and keep coming at you with massive bodily damage that would incapacitate a human, but if you get a fatal shot (preferably in the brain, or presumably possible in a critical organ as well) it is still a fatal shot. Also, I don't think the one shown in the clip was "bullet timing", that is I don't think they are fast enough to dodge out of the way of a bullet already in the air (like in matrix), it had learned what guns could do and it was quickly dodging out of the way every time Ripply aimed the weapon, so each time she pulled the trigger it was already out of the path of the bullet (still an impressive feat, but not the same). Last point is just a nitpick that lasers slicing through flesh at that speed would not cause cauterization (cauterization of flesh requires slightly more extended contact with the heat source, especially to be enough cauterization to stop blood flow due to the chared and dried flesh blocking the way). So there would be plenty of acid leaking everywhere when he laser eyed them (and possibly some acid vapor in the air as well from the extreme heat of his lasers causing some explosive vaporization of acid).... though I agree that wouldn't hurt him, and he probably wouldn't really care about the collateral damage from it either.
