To add to that Zweilous sweep's amazingness; because it got Mummy from Cofagrigus, its ability Hustle was also cancelled out. I liked pokestar studios a lot in terms of how much post game content it provided. Like many other features of B2W2, it was a great part of the experience for me. That being said, being forced to save and participate was what I didn't like about it. I know that it's a part of roxie's story and I appreciate them going in depth with her dad, but at the same time we could have also just watched the production instead of making one ourselves. Very minor criticism, but overall I liked it outside of not being able to do nuzlockes or challenge runs without a dedicated save file to it, which was much more inconvenient back when other resources were not as accessible. My vote is that it's good though. Great vid!

As someone who's made films and has worked in the industry, I was pleasantly surprised at how good Pokestar Studios was of a translation of the filmmaking process using Pokemon mechanics. Especially how bad RNG simulates all the bad takes during a scene. For a normal/completionist playthrough, I think it's fun. For a nuzlocke, it's a little annoying but the fact that making at least 1 movie gives you free lemonades makes it not too bad in my opinion.

I loved pokestar studios. I did so many of the movies as a kid, and really enjoyed it as a side game. I don’t think it should be mandatory to continue the game, but it’s inclusion is something else that made Unova/Gen 5 special for me, like the contests did in previous games. I’ve always been a fan of side quests and minigames, and the studio made the world seem more lived in. It was so funny that you could ruin a movie with a terrible one liner (I never did bc I felt bad about it, but it’s still funny). But yeah, definitely should not have been required to progress.

PokerStar Studios is one of the best mini games in a mainline Pokémon game (Imo). You're literally a movie star! Your character speaks, shows emotions, the first true instance of character customization since they wear a variety of different and unique outfits, it's not a braindead or strictly luck based feature, MULTIPLE EDDINGS FOR EACH MOVE INCLUDING SECRET ENDINGS, you can use any Pokémon and after they become movie stars they get special animations that have a similar feel as a shiny sparkle which makes the time put in feel tangible, the backgrounds are insanely detailed (Idk why they didn't give us backgrounds like this for the standard gameplay but im not complaining), the stories are fun and interesting, and it's just charming overall. Pokestar Studios was my favourite part of B2W2. I spent a lot of time there as a kid. It's just fun using different pokemon.

Pokestar studios was one of the things about Black/white 2 that made me love those games. That and the medal rally.

Nice video Silph! I have a hardcore nuzlocke idea! CAN YOU BEAT A POKEMON PEARL HARDCORE NUZLOCKE WITH ONLY ELECTRIC TYPES!?

XY would actually be a decent candidate for a dragon only run, if you were to allow yourself the dream radar swablu. After that, you have, in order, the Haxorus, Salamence/Dragalge, Tyrantrum, Flygon, Garchomp, Dragonite, Goodra, Noivern, Drudiggon and Hydreigon lines. It's quite a few encounters to choose from and makes a run viable since you get axew and bagon and tyrunt really early.

Pokestar studios can actually be super helpful early game if you have the patience for it, bc you get mid-late game healing items from your 'fans'. If you complete all of the available movies successfully once before moving on, you'll have usually about 80 moomoo milks and 150 lemonades.

I’m actually surprised you didn’t mention how the Driftveil Bridge being nicknamed “Charizard Bridge” is tied into the story by the original Nuzlocke creator

I actually like The polestar studios because you get to see the protagonists in different outfits (which they look pretty cute and cool on ) and see them interact and talk more the thing that sets them apart from other protagonists , plus it's a bit challenging to follow the director's instructions sometimes

I could be wrong, but I believe that Flygon is immune to Earthquake while using dig because it has levitate. I'm pretty sure I remember getting wrecked by that in the HGSS Battle Factory because of that once.

Love how you use all the different feature in the game to obtain otherwise unobtainable pokemons to make this possible

I love pokestar studio. It was a very nice side thing to do to waste some time or something to do after beating the story

Pokestar studios was honestly a pretty good pallet cleanser from all the battles. It gets repetitive so it's nice to have stuff like it in the game

I never had much of an issue with PokeStar, but it immediately forces you to go through it LOL I'll always resent it! XD
