Well... it's finally time to try a randomizer hardcore nuzlocke! With Pokemon X and Y giving us access to over 700 Pokemon, this should be a CRAZY experience. But... we're also going to randomize opponent Pokemon, items, and abilities for an extra challenge!
We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only random encounters? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon X Hardcore Nuzlocke with only Random Pokemon? No items and no overleveling!

Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Concerning the death of Clefable: You raised your defense two times with Cosmic Power ( = +2), but it got dropped by two Screeches (= -4, because it causes harshly drops). Therefore, you were at -2 when Giga Impact hit you...

I wanna say, Mold Breaker doesn’t cancel abilities, it makes it so moves will hit even with abilities taken into account. In the Politoad’s case, it’d be able to hit a water move on a Pokemon with Water Absorb.

I think that audino actually had pixilate because your Gengar resisted that attack, rather than it being neutral. IIRC, scrappy does not make ghosts resist normal type attacks like that, but gengar, being part poison, would resist fairy type moves.

Stunfisk also had Refrigerate since Flail was super effective on Dragonite

If you watch closely the flail that the stunfisk used to take down dragonite was superefective which means that it likely had the abilities refrigerate or pixelate

If you didn't know, there is a dragon rage clause that if you get wiped by a set damage move, the run doesn't fail up to the second gym or if youse a set damage move yourself. Or some variation of that.

Didn't get a chance to comment but I love Randomizers! And you finally did a Randomizer Nuzlocke! Randomizers are so much fun but super chaotic. You may get things like Huge Power Slaking or Marvel Scale Slowking. And sometimes you may get swept by a Sunflora, a Wormadam, a Delibird or even a Ledian. That's the magic of Randomizers. I hope you do more of these in the future!

Concerning some circumstances with a Stunfisk, it showed as super-effective, meaning the Stunfisk had either Pixilate or Glaciate. Yikes.

I once did a fully randomized gen 5 nuzlocke, and well, I found an Elekid with Wonder Guard after I had found an Air Balloon, the problem being that if it evolved it lost its ability, so it was a hilariously funny nuzlocke, especially cuz the tms were randomized too, so it was SO hard to get a good moveset on the little guy, but he carried me nonetheless 😅
