We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo or monotype Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only a Pokemon character's best team as a theme team nuzlocke? Today we find out: can Lt. Surge's Best Team Beat a hardcore nuzlocke of Pokemon Platinum!?

Character Best Team Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only one encounter per badge obtained.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Starting with Chinchou as te starter and having Jolteon's pin missile for Gardenia would have been the best case scenario. And Fantina could be defeated, but it requires a lot of grinding coins at the casino (IF ONLY THE CASINO WASN'T CUT OFF)

I think from your videos you’re a lovely person. If you weren’t aware then I think should check out that BetterHelp have been found to partake in some very unfair trade practices. It also changes up some of the gym leaders to feel more like they are Johto leaders, and makes Kanto actually a challenge.

I have a hc that Lusamine and Cynthia are related because they also look kinda similar, with Lusamine looking like an older version of Cynthia. I hc Lusamine is either Cynthia's older sister or her aunt. Which would, in turn, make Gladion and Lilly either Cynthia's nephew and niece or her cousins. I just like hcs of random Pokemon characters being related to each other.
