Since comments are good for the KZbin algorithm, I’ll leave a suggestion: how about trying to beat Pokémon Platinum with only a Shinx? Shinx isn’t as bad as far as some of the Pokémon you already beat challenges with, but there’s Elite 4 Bertha and a few gym leaders who resist electric (namely Roark with Geodude and Onix, Gardenia, Byron and Volkner). One thing I always wished Generation 2 and others did was after you beat the game (exclude post game i.e. Mount Silver) was to reopen all the gyms (leaders only) so you could battle them anytime you want at a much higher level with a full team of Pokemon so it wasn't soo dang time consuming to get to level 100 with your favorites if you felt like doing so.

For fast and fun: How about a run with absolutely no items allowed? - no held items - no items in and outside of battle, this includes TM's but not HM's/key items required to progress - full team allowed - pokémon centers allowed This means the Elite Four+champion will be pretty hard, but the rest of the run should be doable. Having too many strong moves will mean a lack of Power Points. Strategy become important as you can only learn moves by level-up.

@@pidgeyottot3527 Well, let's think theoretically. There are some gift Pokémon depending on the generation (Shuckle for instance in Gen 2). However, this can probably only be done with only Gen 1 and Gen 2 or any generation that allows you to redeem gambled money for Pokémon. Technically, you can gamble and a few Pokémon through this method. Eggs (like Togepi), gambled Pokémon, and gift Pokémon. The beginning will only be starters for a while.

@@pidgeyottot3527 UPDATE: After I did some research, this is completely possible. Gambled currency is not an item, therefore it is something you can utilize. By time you enter Goldenrod, you should have your starter of choice and Togepi. Depending on the game, you can get Abra universally, (Ekans G, Sandshrew S, Cubone C), and Dratini with G+S/ Punching Bag C. And you can get Shuckle eventually, a full party. After that point, just play the game and you can beat Red more than likely. Especially since you have potential for Dragonite, Feraligatr (my personal choice), Kadabra, and maybe another Pokémon from the Celadon gambling center. This would be more easy compared to others, especially since the rules allow for HM's. It would just be more tedious and annoying compared to challenging.

Well done! Eevee in gen2 has always been special to me since when I was a wee lass. Pryce had ruined my quilava and pidgeotto with ice moves and I just had my Eevee left knowing mud slap and Swift. Just to give an idea of how low those level 60 stats are, when I was playing a Pokémon black randomizer, I caught an absol on route 1. And at level 12, it had 50 attack, so the level 60 112 attack is really really low

You should do Pokémon Emerald with one Azurill. Low BST(195) Doesn’t start with an attack and it’s best level up move is the inaccurate Slam. Perfect for a challenge.

I love that for the main game, this was a relatively grindless run. Sure you fought most trainers but that's not exactly grindy. And of course the final Red battle required a lot of grinding, that's kind of the point of Red. Also looking forward to the mystery run, hoping it's for mystery dungeon! I again request a "Route 1 only" run, where you only use Pokemon from the first route of the game. I'd love to see it in gen 4 or 5 because those are my favourite gens, but for the latter I think Lilipup and Patrat would allow for some interesting move choices

My Suggestions For Pokémon Challenges: 1. Pokémon Black With Only 1 Eevee 2. Pokémon White With Only 1 Pichu or Pikachu 3. Pokémon Platinum With Only Grass Types 4. Pokémon Diamond With Only 1 Mudkip 5. Pokémon SoulSilver With Only 1 Chikorita These are some of my requests/suggestions. Keep up the great work, I always find these entertaining.

Only necessary battles w/First pokemon per gymchallenge in Gen 3 (Soul Silver): Go through the full game (Including Red) Of course try to dodge every trainer you can If you run into a wild pokemon battle you have to run Although if you run into your first pokemon after the first gym you beat, which ever pokemon you encounter first becomes a part of your team, although this means that if you kill it, no more pokemon can be caught until the next gym, which then you can get your second pokemon. Only held items as always If you decide to do this challenge then Good Luck! Also it seems that you're almost at yet another big milestone of 300k, good job and congrats to near another great milestone on your Channel!

Part of the issue with Johto's level curve is that it opens up *much* quicker around Ecruteak than even Kanto, so they just set everything lower to compensate. As it stands, I actually always do Pryce before Cianwood and Olivine, even in normal runs, because the level curve is smoother *and* the plot is better paced.

Next challenge Idea Can you beat a fully randomized Pokemon Emerald with only a team of Dunsparces? Rules -Only Dunsparces can be used in battle (Pokemon for HMs are allowed) -No use of items in battle (Held items are allowed) -No glitches or exploits (These are never fun for a challenge) Btw, you've got me into finally emulating the pokemon games during this time so thanks. I really dig these. Awesome content, MDB! Not sure if it's already been suggested or not, but if you're looking for an insane challenge, you could try a Slakoth only run (thinking Hoenn, but any Gen would be a challenge). Rough stats AND the Truant ability... a somewhat diverse movepool might make it mildly plausible just to reach the Elite Four, but regardless, I truly apologize if you attempt this...
