Brine would actually be 195 BP instead of 200, since that would mean it was boosted by 70 instead of the initial 65. Divide that by 2 for the actual base power because Grass would be 97.5 (Round that up to get 98 instead.). So about a 28 extra boost to power against Water types for Brine, thought that might help out MDB. Don’t worry some calculations get very confusing so it’s all good.

To add to Pluck, sometimes Cricketot carries an item called a Metronome, a held item you can use that makes moves used in a row stronger. So, for example, it makes moves almost like fury cutter. The fact that you have your starter already gives you a huge advantage. @Chefvonbreezy Жыл бұрын
Yea I agree. The fire type in sinnoh is the most useful. It’s useful against most of the gyms with its fantastic movepool. And it’s probably the most useful starter for the elite 4. For context, the platinum trophy garden contains (when fully evolved): Raichu, Roserade, Staraptor, Kricketune, Clefable, Blissey, Eeveelutions, Porygon-Z, Azumarill, Sudowoodo, Mr. Mime. And in the national dex: Wigglytuff, Plusle, Minun, Castform. Given the vast size of the group, I think it better suits a challenge runner who would do nuzlockes. I feel like FlygonHG might have fun playing as a young Mr. Backlot, as he is doing more role play theme teams.

In my opinion you should consider to play in "Set mode" the multi-pokemon challenges where you can get decent or strong Pokemons like this one. It usually doesn't change a lot but it gives the impression that you are playing the challenge in the hardest way possibile. Anyway, good work. As always!
@jonsmith5058 Жыл бұрын
Dont think MDB is super interested in making stuff as hard as he can and stuff. Partly why he doesnt enjoy Nuzlocke. He mostly just levels up and brute forces anyway rather than uses much strategy so he’ll just grind more. It can be a shame cause in runs like this it basically just means he uses his starter for 90% of the time.
@lisahenry20 Жыл бұрын
Multipokemon challenges already have the problem of getting one strong pokemon while the rest lag behind. Using set mode would just make that issue worse as you'd be incentivised to not switch pokemon.
