Nice catch, Jefe Striped Bass are some of the best fish to eat they live in salt water also, Atlantic as well as Mediterranean sea. They get huge (5 ft )!!!! I started fishing them this year. Much harder to catch a keeper which should be at least 27 inches here in NS Canada. the sizes you caught are the best to eat .

Striped Bass are anadromous fish, can live in salt and fresh water. Usually they live in costal salt water and migrate up freshwater rivers to spawn. As good as those fish were, they would be even better if you removed and discarded the red meat before cooking. Big secret is to not overcook them!

I agree it's obvious he's learning. I can respect it. I thought he was a survivalist. Definitely was surprised That's the biggest freshwater fish he's ever caught. First striped bass caught That's the first time he's ever ate striped bass. Wait till he goes Minnesota walleye or northern pike fishing. Lake Snagging for spoonbill pulls up something 140 lb or better. Maybe catches a sturgeon out of the Missouri River. Definitely an inexperienced fisherman first time eating striped biggest fish he's ever caught is a 9 lb striped✌❤🤘 can't deny it was a good day fishing. Also can't deny it was his first good day fishing

It's good to see Karter out. I always wonder why we don't see more of him on his dad's channel. Is he the kid that doesn't enjoy the shop stuff? Folks keep him chained up in the basement? Nice pile of fish, never caught any striped bass. They didn't import them to the Columbia River system. Pike are one of the main invasive up here. Only caught one of those. Looked like a good time, got flashbacks to winter perch fishing with my brother. One time we were up filleting fish til 0300. That was the last time we caught a couple hundred of the little buggers. Great eating but two little bites per fish ain't worth it!
