What an absolute joy of a video and adventure! This is one of the great things about Spain that most tourists are unaware of - they have vast networks of wilderness paths and lots of space for everyone so close to major destinations. Keep these coming mate, fantastic stuff!

I think you are the right age to remember the failed UK soap Eldorado. It was filmed in the town of Coin, which is 35km west of Malaga. Apparently the set is still there. The only disappointment I had when I was there was visiting a little zoo, or Biopark as they called it, in Fuengirola. I wasn't expecting London Zoo, but it is small. Walked around twice in just over an hour, including stops to take pictures.

For those worried about the safety of hiking after the loss of Michael Mosley, Scott is an experienced hiker who regularly walks incredible distances. He is not someone on holiday going for a walk. He also researches his hikes before going.

Almonds! You zoomed in on an outer husk, these start splitting and shrivelling around Aug-Sept when they gently bash the tree branches with a stick to allow the nuts to fall on the floor which has been covered with a cloth instead of picking the crop by hand. They're mostly grown in Alicante where they thrive so in this instance, maybe they are grown there solely as a reforestation project?

The trees are almond trees. They’re harvested by spreading sheets beneath them and then belting the branches to bring down the nuts. The prehistoric graves were interesting. In the nearby town of Antequera are their ‘big brothers’, dolmens, the ‘walk-in’ cores of burial mounds. Gets you out of the sun for a while. Excellent video but have you considered the potential benefits of having a map?

It only takes around 10 minutes to get to Raja Ancha from the icona park. I'm amazed to see someone getting so lost. Also, cueva oscura is right next to Raja ancha. If you carried on walking up, you would have reached El Santo, why would you go down to the village and then back up to the Necropolis only to end up back in the same place? That's just walking for no reason. 😅
