The hole in the seat is to keep blood flow to your “man parts”. Keeps things from going numb. Many road bike and mountain bike seats have them now.

Seems like a drone could help you scout some of those areas where you aren't sure whether it's worth heading down or not.

Maybe I'll try that someday, thanks.

If you ride for any amount of time you'll figure out that seat is way too squishy.
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
I like squishy when it comes to bike seats.

Interesting ride Tom, lots of wild country. I am surprise you didn't come across more critters, deer, rabbits, snakes, etc. Read many, many books on the Mountain Man period and floating up the Missouri River, wonder how much that river has change over the years. Good video thanks
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
Well, it's more of a canal than a river these days. I'm sure today's river would be unrecognizable to the explorers of the past.
@davidgarcia98082 ай бұрын
@@OutsidewithTom Yes I am sure it would be. Where is your under water camera ? I miss it
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
@@davidgarcia9808 Unfortunately, the clear water places I used it in the past no longer have clear water. Maybe next year.

Still it was a good day to be out there

Yes indeed, I love doing stuff like that.

That black shadow you saw in the field that was a big sewer water way pipe. You never showed the gunshot holes on that sign🤣
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
I think you're right about the pipe. The sign was in the parking lot, don't want to give away the location.

Hopefully you had a patch kit or a spare tube and also a pump. A long walk back with a flat tire

Doncha love those fall stick-tights? I was doing much the same, looking for a good spot along the Missouri, and walked through about 30 yards of that stuff…. I found you can scrape them off pretty well with a pocket knife.
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
Yes sir, scraping is the best technique I know of. Thanks for watching.

What's your guess on the purpose for the upper section of the bridge? Too skinny for protection from rain. I'm stumped.
@OutsidewithTom2 ай бұрын
It shall forever remain a mystery.

I used to get ticked off when people used to pass me pedalling my motorless fatbike until I realized they were old farts that wouldn't be outside enjoying nature. Now you need a cart to customize into a fishing cart. I'm stuck right now using an exercise bike and walking unfortunately.

You're right, it was hugely disappointing. I had high hopes for that section of river. On to the next one!
