Ok Steve time for the big question that everyone is wondering since you've been back. Forget the Viva rebuild... What's happened to the Knopper Bars. Now that you have moved is your new corner shop too posh for Knopper's? 🤣😂

Thanks for the much needed practical application of removal / refit of the Viva heater matrix. As with any production run, continuous improvement is always encouraged like in the case of the 73 green viva vs 75 yellow HC Viva. It may still be possible for an aftermarket reconditioning of the 75 model year matrix. Moving forward, look forward to welding-up refinishing of the firewall cowelling as mentioned before.😅 Thanks Steve 🍺 for another edition of Retro Rebuilds UK 🇬🇧 ❤

I think there is a guy in the viva owners club that makes those bulkhead / heater covers in fibreglass. Good original metal ones are getting thin on the ground now.

Alright mate! With your original heater box and matrix I'd just give it a good wash out with disinfectant, should be fine! Weld that panel up, then its job done 👍

Love the closing credits Punk music... I'm a qualified welder and I'm sorry to say I think you're gonna struggle to weld that panel, especially with the rust the lack of experience and the machine you have. your better trying to find a replacement..
