Can I fix this transmission and will it hold up behind a turbo motor. Let’s see!

Got this from a friend of mine for a good price. Snap ring came off the diff. This was a working transmission when they took it out of the bus. Side gears took a bearing. So I bought new spider and side gears. I had a new super diff laying around. Let’s see if I can put it back together and let’s see if it will work with a turbo motor. Thanks for watching.

I give ya credit man, gearboxes are foreign to me lol Sounds like you have all of your bases covered, hopefully it’ll hold up to the turbo abuse. Shop is looking fantastic man!!

Great looking shop, are you planning on any kind of DIY on your tranny build? some of the comments might help, just need to sort fact from fiction. looks like you have a couple of sweet rides. Congrats and good luck.

Ya I might diy at some point. But I’m new to transmission work so I hope people will learn from my mistakes first! I have a good understanding on how they work and what the parts do. Let’s just see if it can hold up to some power.

I never did any deep dives on trannys , I have 3 or 4 sitting around .and one freeway flyer. Weddle great giuys i buy all my parts and gasket sets items from them. Your shop looks great love the coating on the floor and bright lighting. I watched EZGZ work on tranny's he has a lot of videos series on them and all the specials tools.

Thanks for the compliment. Ya the shop is taking shape. I’ve watched all of ezgz’s transmission videos. Plus others. Maybe my videos will be a what NOT to do or learn from my mistakes. Haha.

@@busman5429 it’s definitely something I’ve been saving for a long time to do. Can’t wait to hang some old Vw deck lids and maybe a dash or 2 once I find them.
