Welcome to my channel Kevin I always admire Australian car guys. They always just make things work with what they have. Really good stuff. The bulged on the deck lid is for the SU carb and air cleaner. This will be a draw through turbo set up with a 2110cc Vw motor. Hoping to run 12’s at the drag strip. Great content and great looking bug! Working on a 67 with a late model pan. The current pan on your 68 was it originally a IRS pan or a swing axle pan. Thanks

The 68 is last year for swing axle car. If a 68 came with an auto stick it was an irs set up. Mine car was originally a swing axle car.

I live in California and there's nobody in the vws around me I literally just build them and sell them because there's no scene I'm creating my own scene but I'm starting to think Florida is looking pretty nice!!!

A lot of people are moving here from California. Just be prepared Vw stuff is not as nice and dry and cheap as they are in California.

Hey Busman. I’m using straight Lucas 80w90. I bought a gallon jug on Amazon for 27 bucks. Also bought a “Slippery Pete fluid pump” again from Amazon to get the oil in the trans. No mess no spills made life easy. Thanks for watching and commenting.
