Can I Fix this XBox One with an intermittent display problem? (faulty hdmi port?)

In this video, I've been sent an original XBox One that has a display problem. The output is inconsistent and HDMI cables don't seem to sit right in the port.
Let's see if it it needs a new HDMI port, or whether there is something else that can be done to help it.

I pluged both of the sides of the HDMI IN one in the xbox and another in tv but it didn't show up any thing pls reply

Sorry to hear it, you may need a replacement HDMI port, or it could be a problem with the HDMI controller chip. OR it could be a failed Hard Drive (like this one I worked on recently: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIbVlKKcf7B_mKs) Good luck 👍

i got an xbox used and its hdmi looks exactly the same, kinda dodgy, but no disconnecting, one day ill pry the pins back to get a better fit. i dont treat my stuff like this. idk how anyone can

Hi Kya. You need a Torx screwdriver set. I think they are size T8, T9, and T10. Should be enough for you to get inside. Good luck 👍

Could be the HDMI port, or cable, or in more serious cases the HDMI video controller chip inside. All of them are quite common, so hard to tell what your problem will be. Good luck 👍

Hi there, I only do this for fun unfortunately. I imagine, depending on where you live, there will be someone local who will perform the repair for you. It could need a new HDMI port, hopefully someone local can sort it for you. Good luck 👍

Put tin foil on the crack in the hdmi port and it will work

@@zosoakej yes, the xbox would not connect to the hdmi at all and i look at the hdmi port and it had a crack in the metal so i put tin foil around it and i works perfectly fine now no lower in resolution or nothing
