I have had very little issues on my Xbox series X set to 4K 120hz VRR with a full lineup of peripherals. I have been getting amazing performance and expect the same from the new sim if not better.

This annoys me to bo end, and its not your fault, but specs dont hardly mean anything if we arent told what these acheive. Like ideal, what does that achieve? 4k60? 4k30? 1440p60? Like... come on lol

True. You can work out the rough area they should achieve but it would be great to have that stated. I suspect they don't do that to prevent people coming at them with "You said it would achieve *** fps and it doesn't."

I just built my pc I’ve got a i7-14700k 4070 super oc 32gb 6000mhz cl 32 ddr5 ram 2tb ssd and 300mbs so i should be good. I can’t wait to try the new sim. Thanks for the information

I think I'll meet all of the recommended requirements...It's gonna have to work as I can't afford to upgrade my computer! The more videos I watch the more excited I am to get my hands on the sim.

The specs say 50Gb storage but apparently the software itself is only 28Gb, according to those at the recent event. So that could mean a 20Gb cache, maybe? I match or beat all the recommended specs, so that's better than I expected which is good to hear. I only need 1080p at a minimum of 30fps (more would be nice), so fingers crossed.....but I'm still trying before buying.

While I'm elated over 2024, I'm willing to admit Xbox has issues. But it, with some vigilance, *can* run the Sim swimmingly. I just hope the "under the hood" changes and Cloud can make the 2024 experience comparable or better than 2020 at the very least.

@@KAPAFlyer Guess it comes down to how they now will handle on the ground graphics. Compared to other games like RDR2 the graphics on FS2020 isn’t very impressive. What was impressive with FS2020 was the ability to fly anywhere in the world.

One of the topics nobody seems to talk about are float planes. ASOBO even introduced several famous flyers as seaplanes ( not amphibian ) and maybe PC has some tricks that work but they don't work on Xbox ( I've tried them all ) when it comes to starting a flight somewhere other than the few dozen water starts in 2020. The boat developers seem to have no problems, the Juice Goose can start anywhere, why does a float plane need to launch a flight at 7000 feet when 3/4 of the world is covered in water? I will make it easy for everyone here If you don't have an i7 upgrade If you don't have 64,gb upgrade If you don't have mid range gpu upgrade. Why???? The calculation in the game require these set up especially when zone get very busy. The game is not just about graphic unless you want to run everything under low setting.

Just remember we need a stable internet connection Erm can you tell that to the Microsoft servers then cos it sure as hell has been a struggle to get 100mbs even with a 250mbs download speed

Xbox has board integrated RAM shared between all processes (like Apple computers) - neither X or S meets min spec. Would be great if anyone shared footage… Why hire a PR team when all MS has to do is give a bunch of content creators a paid trip to the Grand Canyon with a helo tour and some expensive swag to do it for them? Haha

I was planning on buying the Xbox series X just for MFS 2024, and my Internet speed is only 21 Mbps. I don't have the room or budget to go the PC route or to upgrade to a faster Internet connection, so it looks like my aspirations to have this amazing experience have just crashed through the floor. I'm very disappointed, but I guess it's better than finding out the hard way having already invested in the purchase of everything.

@@oldskoolloner bandwidth is more than likely going to be the same - while the cloud is there to help with graphics etc - your gonna need stable internet - minimum 10mbps - recommended 50mbps - ideal 100mbps

So I am looking into getting flights in 2024. I have never played it. But I have some experience. I spent 10 years in the Navy. And my last duty station was an F18 squadron. With back to back deployments on board the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. I plan to buy an Xbox x. And was just wondering if it will support Ray tracing? According to numerous sources. And also AI sources. They all say yes. I was just wondering if you or anyone else can confirm that the Xbox X we'll be able to support Ray tracing while playing flight simulator 2024? @@emire123 yes, msfs24 is using new lighting techniques for shadows and photometric lighting. It’s a core feature. Ray tracing on Xbox can be very heavy on performance - so my understanding is the sim will be doing this on the cloud side - then render the results to the client side

I've got 200mps+ banndwidth, i7 12700 and RTX 3070tI but only 16GB laptop. It just about manages MSFS2020 on medium graphics on my 4k monitor. I'll see how it plays but may treat myself to a beefier desktop in the new year. I'll raid my saving what the hell lol

You might be able to upgrade your ram to 32GB.

@@hedcase If you want higher FPS you should get a 1440p monitor instead. 4K monitor is very demanding. In most cases on a 28 inch monitor you can’t notice the difference between those two.

I have a decent system 4800. But a slow internet speed of about 15mps. In msfs2020 there's a lot of popping. Out of focus scenery So I'm a bit worried about 2024 I know it says 10mps min but I recon it might struggle.

@@legionelite7538 FS2020 runs quite well on my Xbox X and not much difference now from a mid range gaming pc. It will probably look much better on a high end gaming pc and I guess that’s where all the promo videos are from. But you can’t really compare as the GPU alone on a high end PC is 3-4 times the price of an Xbox X. That the game will run on Xbox S is amazing and says a ton about how good a small console it is. I used to build my own high end gaming PCs, but then prices got ridiculous on components and I also have a desk job and started to hate spending even more time in front of a desk so I bought an Xbox X. The only reason I went for Xbox instead of PlayStation was actually because of FS2020.
