it can be confusing when the discourse is new to your or your culture, but sexual orientation, gender identity, and biological sex are three completely different concepts. a transgender person can be straight, they are not automatically gay because they are transgender

This is (also) why people have had the whole argument for years as to why they don't think think the "T" should be apart of the LGBTQ+ etc. Because once they change to their correct genders they are no longer "technically" part of said community (sometimes) & so what does the T have to do with anything? I'm not saying I agree with it but it's just a conversation & argument that's been had

@@minimochi2206 that is such an important point to bring up. similar to people born on the intersex spectrum, the "i" in lgbtqia2+, there is also discourse around that as well. so it's very important to point that out, thank you for commenting about this. i have heard transgender friends of mine who are comfortable with it being a part of the lgbtq+++ family, but others who do not agree. so there definitely is still conversation to be had to make this more public information.

@@poison1874 I have transgender friends as well, some of which that have told me they actually don't feel comfortable being part of the LGBTQ+ because they don't feel that they fit that criteria or label etc.. they feel straight just placed in the wrong gender at birth. So yes it is a very interesting conversation same with the "i" hmm. I'm all for conversation and hearing everyone out lol I just don't like arguments 🤷🏻‍♀️ haha

I just wrote what some people still discuss or argue over till this day. Like I also said I'm not saying that I agree it's just something that's there to have & I have friends who do feel strongly about & other that don't. I am not apart of that group but I do love them and just lend a loving ear. I'm not hear to argue that's all.

Terrah did say sexual orientation "성적" but korean is confusing when speaking about new concept like gender identity and sexual orientation. "성" can be translated by gender and sex in korean.
