As a Malaysian professional, I will work in Singapore. Get a Singapore PR and not give up my Malaysia citizenship. I will get a high salary and good exchange rate. I will buy good freehold properties in Malaysia. Once I reach age 55, I will go back to Malaysia and retire comfortably. Gives up my Singapore PR and withdraws all my cpf money. Thanks for Singapore to help me retire comfortably in Malaysia boleh 😂.

However unless the person gives up his Sg PR, he cannot touch his CPF money until age 65.

Malaysians working in Singapore and SPRs are the winners. Working in Singapore, getting good salaries and good exchange rates vs Malaysia ringgit. If I were a Malaysian pmet, I would work in Singapore and only accept Singapore PR and not to take Singapore citizenship. At age 55, I will go back to Malaysia and retire comfortably.

Only average Malaysians will think of returning back to Malaysia.. I am from UM, and most of my medical friends are happily settled in Singapore. Salary in private GP practice is easily $200k/annum at least in Singapore, and the Singapore government controls the numbers very well. In Bumi land (Malaysia), the government is incompetent and race and religion is placed as first priority.. Just look at the recent uproar over allowing non-Bumi doctors to train in cardiothoracic surgery at UiTM in Malaysia

If I spend on 2 COE, I could retire if I work till 95, if still alive. COE is one of the greatest revenue generator? But for the sake of GDP, we must still have enough buying cars. How about PHV registered cars? Is it cheaper way of car ownership? If this demand grows, we can enjoy high COE as human needs for use of cars by way of PHV, renting, taxis, second hand cars remain. This does not mean LPPL. It means good good
