You can hear it in his throttle control, he has no clue what he is doing in that car. AWD and 2 WD isn't the problem. There is so much you can do to get off the line, less throttle at takeoff (not floor it like he is doing), less tire pressure (I can guarantee they are set at factory pressure ie. to high for drag racing), settings in the car are a big one these days as well. He is one of those 'drivers' that needs the car to do everything for him.

We have a saying in America. "Use the right tool for the right job." If the Demon Challenger had racing slicks (or whatever they are) on it, and the road surface was the least amount wet, those tires aren't gonna hook up no matter what he does. In fact, regular street tires aren't all that great for wet pavement either. I had a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup. Sport Model. Had a 5.9L V8 which made about 290 HP. I could spin my tires for about a block on rain wet pavement, no problem with just about ½ to ⅔ throttle. When we Americans go Drag Strip racing, it's on a prepared surface with sticky grip compound on the track that helps the racing tires keep grip. They also use this high grip compound on NASCAR tracks in certain spots (usually along the inside groove around corners) to help the cars maintain that groove as they go around instead of sliding up into the outer groove and into other cars. They use this stuff on the shorter tracks, like the 1 mile and below tracks.
@TalentedThumbsАй бұрын
We have a saying "Spinning ain't Winning" nobody drag races on a wet surface in America. He can improve it by racing on a dry track lol. Or a prepped surface (like a dragstrip) meaning they prep the surface and add chemical compounds to make the ground extra sticky. Or he could learn how to drive and control the throttle lol.

Not gonna lie most of the carwow episodes are ridiculous because of how poorly he drives the car and which pairings they choose for the episode. The Demon is designed and meant for the drag racing strip. It even comes from the dealership with little skinny tires for the front to make it faster on the track. The transmission and suspension are all tuned for a super sticky surface. I mean the launch mode he was trying to use was for a prepped drag strip not the street and especially not for a damp dirty track because it is boosting the transmission line pressures to get it to launch by really slamming the power hard to the rear tires. And it will do that at every gear change as well. Which is to say it is exactly the opposite of what you'd want for a car on the street unless you're a great driver with lots of throttle control. And who puts slicks on a car in dirt and wet? Team Porsche at the Nürburgring certainly wouldn't put slicks on in the rain. They would have gotten a much closer race with the lower horsepower and heavier but all wheel drive Jeep Trackhawk. There is a tool for every job and they just tried to use a sledge hammer to open a jar of jelly.
@ericship8383Ай бұрын
A trackhawk isn’t even faster than a base 911 let alone a turbo s
@cocofox2167Ай бұрын
@ericship8383 I think you missed my point. With the cars they were comparing on the wet dirty surface they used a 2wd car stands no chance with all that horsepower. A trackhawk being AWD would have made for a much closer race on this sort of track conditions. I didn't say it would win just that it would have done better despite having less power and weighing more. But that's in these track conditions. Change them to something dry and sticky and you have a totally different race and the trackhawk won't do as well. This was like taking a stock Miata and throwing it into a dirt road against a Baja truck.

Your freedoms are being screwed by your left wing labour govts. Especially horrendous in countries like Italy. Post WW2 in Italy the people could only afford Vespas and Fiat 500's. A half litre engine...gimme a break. I live in Canada...land of the Ford 150 and Chevy Silverado. I had these as company vehicles. 120L tank that I fueled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Silverado had the Corvette engine block (Iron) instead of aluminum called the Vortech. I did not know until they sold it...hehe. To me it was just a tool to be used as an area sales rep working for a local engineering firm. The Ford F150 has been the best selling vehicle in North America for the last 50 years. Screw the Corollas and Prius'...and Tesla's.
