That definitely was an S-10 Blazer in the first circle track race. The red Dodge Demon was without a doubt "sandbagging" that race. "Sandbagging" in drag racing means when you get ahead and KNOW you're going to win you slightly let off the throttle to make your competitor think they had a chance which usually means they will offer another race with higher prize money. I know this because I frequently used this ploy several times in the past with my HEAVILY modified 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup. Made me some good cash from Rustang and WRX owners.

The thing about Evs is that the speed is basically one gear instant acceleration so in a straight line its hard to catch up but once you do and shifting and handling come into play then they can be beat.
@AslanRWАй бұрын
@2:47 The Chevy Blazer that beat the Tesla is owned and driven by Charlie Guardino. He races it at what Americans call "Spectator Drag Racing". He's a good driver on the track that's won a lot with that truck and has beaten quite a few Teslas. Spectator Drags are where people can race their street legal cars against other cars.

@@IsThatHuncho I believe so. I know of one on track altercation where he got spun out and tried going the wrong way after that other guy, but that's only from watching a few races on youtube, not live.

If you could see it, the dragsters run a softer tire so it will get traction. Check out an NHRA top fuel dragster, they do a burnout to heat up the tires. Hard to beat American Iron.

The problem for EVs is weight. If both cars have the same HP but the ICE car is lighter, it is going to win. The thing is, most of the drag racing we saw with Tesla Plaid cars was against conventional cars that didn't have anywhere near the amount of power of the Tesla. In those cases, the Tesla has the advantage because electric motors have all of their power instantly as compared to ICE engines that have a power range. The ability for these high performance ICE cars to "launch", which is a fairly recent development, takes away the EV advantage.

My OG dream car's always been a '67 Shelby GT500 Fastback, Red with Black racing stripes. GTA IV and V led to another of mine being a mid 2000's-mid 2010's Subaru Impreza WRX STI; which the Sultan RS is partially based on. And/Or an OG early-mid 90's WRX STI aka the Golden Age of rally car Racing which the Sultan RS Classic is HEAVILY based on. And lastly, the Comeback Dodge Challenger (Also from GTA:V, as the inspiration for the body of rhe Bravado Gauntlet, with the head and taillights based on the Camaro, and the rest of the car on the Charger.) As they're all essentially variants and descendents of the 2010's Challenger, each better "Descendent" has replaced it such as the later Dodge Hellcat, then even later Dodge Demon. So an OG Hall of Fame Star of Classic American Muscle, A modern Hall of Fame Star in its own right of American Muscle i.e. the Challengers, Hellcats, etc. And an OG Classic Import, with its own rich Hall of Fame History. And the surprise curveball, a 1968-69 Chevy El Camino, or '70 El Camino SS. I mean it's a Muscle car AND a truck... And my family's '88 Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck, with it's optional extended truck bed (Nothing fancy, just a longer truck bed than "Standard" on Dakotas) has taught me the value of having a REAL pickup truck and bed available for all the times you unexpectedly need it. And 1. Modern Pickups aren't "True" Pick up trucks IMO ass they're TOO damn BIG, and NONE of their ever increasing size seems to ever end up enlarging the bed; if anything they're getting smaller. And 2. I can't throw a Mattress, Box spring, Wooden Dresser, Entertainment Table/Stand, Coffee Table, and 5-10+ Cardboard boxes into a Hatchback; like those certainly ears Subaru made Impreza Hatchbacks ONLY as "Sedans weren't popular anymore". TLDR, my Top 5 Dream Car's not in any order (Except maybe #1) are: 1. 65-68 Shelby GT500 Fastback (With rear window Louvers) 2. 1998-2014 Subaru Impreza WRX/ WRX STI (Numerous different generations and models like, hence blanket "98-'14"). 3. Modern Dodge Challenger R/T, Hellcat, Demon, etc. 4. '68-69 Chevy El Camino, or 1970 El Camino SS. 5. The 1988 Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck with its extended bed I've been intended to inherit/receive, NOT having large sections of the body rusting out through the bottom, undiagnosed transmission issues, and the entire undercarriage all rusted to hell would've also been nice. Whereas right now we don't even know if it'll be totaled by rust damage by the time I get it, It's already got holes in the cab floor... I love my Grandma, but she's a "Has NEVER washed the undercarriage off in the 20yrs since SHE inherited it despite heavily salted roads in our state in winter, NEVER replaced the Air Filter, just shake and taps it out occasionally, and never *Change* the oil just add a quart or two when it's low" Maintenance type of person... :\

Fast Teslas have the game on lock as long as the opponent is bone stock. The difference is that you can't add power to a Tesla. You can take a 400-500 horsepower gas car and literally double or triple it. There are some ridiculously fast cars out there that no Tesla could ever come close to. That's the joy of gas cars apart from literally everything else including the sound and emotion they evoke.

Yeah for like 2,5 laps i saw vidoes of that car which isn't a car at all a hoover and a rocket and electric engine stapped to it withut the blower it couldn't evne stay on the road so it coudln't be used on a sanctioned race where your car have to be specified to exact measures that can be compred to those in the same league that """car""" is an experimental machine at best so it doesn't spank any gas powered car on the tracks a top fuel dragster does accelerates from a standstill to 100 mph (160.9 km/h) in as little as 0.8 seconds quarter mile time average not the best ones 3.08 to 5.02 so not even close it cna beat cars in a circuit with the hoover on for two max 3 whole laps and then the speed decreases when it looses charge... sinc eit has a small battery because with a big battery it would be too heavy and won't be fast at all....

The "street ones" aren't fun to watch. Especially for all the people unalived every year by these morons. There was a case just a year (or less) ago where a guy racing in the street hit a vehicle down the road at over 100mph. A mother and all three of her kids lost their lives. I don't count the idiot racing on public streets.

this video is very biased against Teslas, the fact of the matter is, the model s plaid is the third fastest accelerating production car in the world and it costs 89k. The model x plaid is the fastest suv on the planet. All the ICE cars here are heavily modified not stock(cuz the plaid will destroy them).
