Nice couples who got what they wanted in the end, by being patient and flexible.

Dear Banijay Home and Garden....do you think you could add Phil and Kirsty's LOVE IT OR LIST IT program to you uploads? they are GREAT in that show 😁

They didn't. They found a new home for the cat with their friends. A whole lot more responsible than leaving it behind with strangers.

I stayed in lodgings with a landlord who did his own reno. His wife wanted a garden, a large kitchen and diner and a large garden. In my two years staying in the house, my landlord spent his time mainly in his sitting room watching the telly, eating his meals in the attached dining room. There was very little sunny days to spend in the garden even in the summer. His wife commute to work and is only home late at night. On weekends she's either sleeping in or out with friends...so they are seldom together in the house. Then they decided to move to a large country home in Essex. I think these 'future' homeowners need to consider their lifestyle and if they have need of the spaces before putting in conditions for purchase. I currently live near a motorway and an airport as well as 2 large mosques with loud broadcasts of prayers regularly. I have become immuned to these noises after several decades and they no longer bother me since the radio or telly seem to be louder than these noises.

@ 21:48 Is there ever an episode without a friendly (or at least nonplussed) cat? Although I'm allergic, I loved that friendly, meowy calico cat.

Baby Flora, the most adorable one, so cute holding Phil's hands while stepping out into their garden. I think Phil is good with little ones, usually they shy away from strangers.

I would never choose an upper flat with a garden below because even if it's your garden, if anyone moves below, they're gonna be right in your face whenever you are in the garden.

That fireplace at 23:35 is the most gorgeous one I have ever seen. I am not fond of huge kitchen diners, but the rest of the flat is a dream. The bonus cat would seal the deal for me.

As an American fan , it always cracks me up when the Brit’s use homely as a positive ! Where we say homey for cozy home .

As a literate person it always baffles me when people use a possessive noun when they mean a plural.

@@FigaroHey A bit of Brit snobbery.

As a Canadian, I've only 'homely" as a negative (plain and unattractive) but I don't know why! Having steeped myself in British culture, I'm coming round to the word. (edit) I also have yet to come to grips with "outhouse" and "pot plants". Those still make me giggle!

Who and why would people leave their pet behind????? 😭

I just made beds for my four girls, all fixed, inside/outside kitties for the second night of The Great Kitty Cat Campout because it's too cold outside and we live in Florida north of Tampa. It was 35 degrees Fahrenheit overnight. These same cats plus my ginger inside cat evacuated during hurricane Milton to Kissimmee. Can't imagine leaving any of them behind!

You're moving abroad and can't take an animal to the next country? You have to move to a place that doesn't take pets? You have just had a baby who is allergic? You're elderly and can't take care of a cat because you have dementia and can't take care of yourself and are going into care? Your relative died and left the cat and a house and you live on an oil rig and can't have a cat or your job doesn't allow you time to care for a cat or the cat hates you or you're allergic? Plenty of reasons why people have to give up a pet. I'd love to have a dog but absolutely don't have the room or lifestyle to keep one in a way that would be safe and fair to the animal, so if someone gave me a pet, I couldn't keep it.
