What’s your biggest feat when it comes to getting Sculptra? Let’s talk about it below 👇 Have you ever regretted an aesthetic treatment? What made you regret it? What worries you the most? Getting a pillow face? Are you afraid because you cannot reverse Sculptra? Do you trust your injector to know what’s best for your face and where to treat? Is fear of a bad outcome stopping you from getting the look you want?

@ Thanks great to know it worked well for your temples. The jowls are tricky and usually have to be addressed from multiple areas of the face. I like filler to the marionette lines, used sparingly but I think filler is important in the lower face area. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Emily. I had my first Sculptra treatment today. My practitioner is an MD with vast qualifications, training and experience in aesthetics. He's also a lovely guy too. To start he dissolved the 12 year old upper lip filler that had migrated and looked lumpy and asymmetric. The hyaluonidase was a bit stingy whilst being injected, but tolerable. Whereas, the Sculptra treatment was completely painless, I only felt the initial local anesthetic injections. He treated my temples, submalar hollows, preauricular areas, marionette areas, depressions around the chin, prejowls and submental. He also treated small pockets of fat under the eyes, jowls and behind the inner knees with Kybella. It's been a few hours since the treatments and my face looks fine. The no redness apart from the start of some slight bruising at the injection sites. The 12 year old lip filler seems to have completely dissolved, and how wonderful it feels. Only the areas treated with Kybella are moderately swollen and feel like pockets of fluid. I've been massaging for 5 mins each time, only twice so far, but Dr Thomas reiterated the three 5s rule; massage 5 times a day for 5 minutes a time, for 5 days. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised, extremely pleased, and have butterflies of excitement for the potential outcome over the next few months. Next session in 6 weeks when he'll be treating the same areas as today, but next time including Sculptra to the upper abdomen, and also introducing a treatment of hyper dillute Radiese to my neck and possibly around the mouth. I'm also hoping to have my lips re-filled, albeit much more naturally this time. How are you? Do you find that you get busier towards the holiday season? All the best Anna

@@The_Viking_Highlander Hi Anna. Thank you so much for sharing your story and what you had done. That’s quite a lot to have been done in one session! I have heard of Kybella being used around the jowl but not under the eyes! How do your under eyes look? That’s great that you also got your submental area and your abs! I think those are important areas to treat. I’m good thanks for asking. It tends to get busier now yes. 😊
@The_Viking_Highlander
@The_Viking_Highlander Ай бұрын
@@NaturalInjector Why do you think it's a lot to have done in one session? Does it matter as long as the patient is comfortable? I certainly feel and look fine. Just some slight bruising at the injection sites and a little puffy swelling in the areas treated with a very small amount of Kybella. The undereyes look and feel fine too. Just a bit puffy and swollen like the jowls. I've been advised to do gentle effleurage type lymphatic drainage after massaging the areas treated with Sculptra. My face did look quite strange this morning, but all the puffiness settled within an hour or so after massage and lymph drainage. My case is slightly unique in that the practitioner is treating a face that suffered a serious trauma injury 4 years ago, then I had to have my right infraorbital rim, zygoma and mandible reconstructed surgically 3 times. During the final reconstructive surgery some fat was also transferred to some areas of depression and irregularity, including to the right infraorbital rim that became lumpy and uneven in appearance afterwards. So, that's why Dr Thomas injected a little Kybella in a couple of random lumps of transferred fat under my right eye. I really didn't want to have any more surgery and have been assured that these non-surgical treatments and techniques will help provide an improvement without the need to go under the knife again. 3 times was enough for me.

@@NaturalInjector The addition of the hyaluronidase to dissolve my 12 year old migrated lip filler was an additional treatment I had specifically asked the Dr to perform. He said that provided I felt okay, (and I did) it will be fine. Honestly, compared to the injury, trauma and reconstructive surgeries, yesterdays treatments felt like a trip to the spa!

Like she says the only possible downside is that you end up wishing you had more noticeable results. It's never going to give you a bloated face... It's just a stimulant for the skin in water... After you've had it done it dissipates into nothing. Then gradually some stimulation of real skin will happen. And hopefully enough to notice an improvement. I've been doing sculpture for myself and clients for years now. Alongside other newer biostimulators it is the way forward in skin rejuvenation.

Hi Emily. I am one of the unhappy Sculptra people. I am 105 pounds and my family genetics tend toward a thin face. A couple of years after Sculptra (yes, it DOES take awhile to fully bloom) I really felt like I had "fat face." I didn't feel consistent with my family's facial type anymore. It has abated, as its now been several years. I honestly think that 1 vial - period - would do it for me. I don't need two sessions. But I'm not sure that I like the Sculptra effect. I like the process theoretically, but it just didn't look right on me.

Can I get Sculptra 8 months after getting hyaluronic acid filler (in the same areas) ? I figured that would be ideal, since the HA filler is starting to fade anyway, and the Sculptra will start to plump up the areas by the time the HA filler goes away. The HA doesn’t look unnatural on me, as it’s injected strategically in the temples, a little in the cheek hollows and sides of the face, pyriform, around the chin and prejowl, and it was my first time getting filler…eventhough I love the results, I don’t want to do it again and prefer a more natural option like Sculptra. I really don’t want to wait until the HA filler goes away because I’m loving my new face and want to maintain my look.

Im a huge sculptra fan. Im appalled by that there is minimal regulation around how some of these professional clinics and/or Docs label sculptra. It's a stimulant, and it is completely based on how it's mixed, technique by the injector, and then the aftercare. I see plastic surgeons somehow loop sculptra into fillers on youtube, but then they go do facelifts on people who lack collagen, and they look like aliens with stretched skin. And they are proud of their work ? It would be best to work on the skin so it thickens with sculptra. And then maybe a year down the road do a facelift, so the person looks natural. Thank you, Emily, for all the information and politely combating the misinformation.

I had some runner's face and I've had 3 vials of Sculptra. I cannot say that I am overly impressed with the results. Maybe it's to do with the fact that I wasn't as lean as before, when I got the first dose anyway and have since put on around 5 more kilos, which fill out my face even more, having a round face to start with. So I am not able to see any clear results. Or maybe 3 vials just wasn't enough for my face as I am over 40 (even though I aged well). Laxity around my submental area and nasolabial area have not improved i.e. I am unable to see a structural improvement. On a side note: it seems unusual practice here in Germany to inject near the mouth/nasolabial area and isn't usually done, same with the temple region. Sculptra here seems to be placed only/most commonly in the upper and lower cheek areas. I had one injection to the temple upon request and none to the nasolabial area. (Reason given was that the material of 1 vial/2 max. will be divided between the treated areas, so there is only so much you can do with it.) I might go for a 4th vial once I have shed some weight and hopefully see a noticeable result.
@NaturalInjector
@NaturalInjector Ай бұрын
@@constancegabriel-haevecker5912 yes if you put on 5 kilos then it could be harder to assess the improvement because gaining weight will add fat to the face. It has helped me a lot in making informed decisions and speaking to my providers on an eye-to-eye level. Will I still be able to see the results from Sculptra after losing weight or will losing weight/fluctuating weight also affect the amount of collagen? (probably a stupid question) Will any Sculptra treatment I might get even though I haven't 'leaned out' as much as before still get a comparable result if I then lean out some more afterwards or is there kind of an 'end-point' of collagen stimulation in relation to the amount of facial fat still present i.e. will my body produce less collagen because of space limitations in the face when that space is instead filled with fat?

However, I was happy at the time because like I said my face was quite gaunt. Fast forward 2 years later, my injector decided another vial of sculptra to maintain results. Bad idea. My face blew up and is super round. I liked having volume but not to the extent that I lose having cheekbones. I also think it makes my lower face heavy. Do you think it could be a natural response when gaining weight after Sculptra to get an extra boost of fat growth due to the Sculptra? I don’t know if I’m explaining that well enough. @@beautyandaging Yes I think it’s possible! Great question. There was a small very recent study done that showed that the fat layer increased by around 27% or something like that after Sculptra. The reason behind why they think this may happen is because the fibroblasts, the cells that make collagen & elastin, communicate better with the adipocytes after Sculptra, the cells that make fat. That’s the theory behind why it could possibly happen. I discussed this in my last video before this one, (Sculptra Facelift) and linked to that study in the description of the video.

sculptra makes you produce bad collagen looking like collagen bolus and not organised fibers attaching the skin closed to the bone ; hence irreversibly stretching the skin, making it harder, heavier and with time more sagging with gravity like seen in the disease scleroderma. your body would have never produce such a bad collagen without the inflammatroy injury from sculptra. so no this collagen is not natural exactly like comparing own hyaluronic acid and the one from filler. there is no difference between sculptra and HA filler all is unnatural and produce only volume.
