Amazing games, may I recommend a custom mode for variety? Attack on space station: One team attacks another team's space stations. Defending team can build anything they want but they can't use thrusters in their designs, attacking team gets more money though. There is no way to enforce these so it will have to be a gentleman's agreement, just throwing an idea out there 😚

Tractor beams seem rather overpowered in my opinion, after watching many of these clips. Anyone who brings them gains such a massive advantage in moving things around, kiting, etc. and the range can be really long.

coming from someone who uses TBs, they are expensive and power hungry, and also push/pull you just as much as they do enemies. It's also another thing to micro, and can be difficult to keep track of what they're aiming at, whether they're on push or pull, etc. for instance, my ship is a laser orbiter, i had to sacrifice half the usual orbiter thrust for 6 TBs, and while that does give me a lot of utility, i'm a hell of a lot more sluggish, and i need to try keep track of piloting, aiming my weapons, *and* aiming my TBs, **and** changing whether they're on push or pull. In addition, when shields are being hit, weapons are firing, thrusters are on, and TBs are also on, my reactors and power logistics get *really* stressed. Even more so if the enemy has disruptors. and yeah, the range is decently long, 300m (same as ion beam) though can extend to 600m (same as max rail or EMP missile) if it's already latched on, though push is weaker at long ranges, and pull is weaker at close ranges overall, they're expensive, power-hungry, and hard to micro, as well as needing you to be playing in a way that will actually utilize them

@@ez_theta_z9317 yeah tbh after experimenting with them myself and seeing how costly they are, I actually changed my mind a bit about this. The cost balances it a bit. But one thing I think makes them a little ****ed is that they pair perfectly with rail gun kites which are already a PITA without tractor beams in the mix. I just hate battles where one person flies away and snipes the other, doesn't feel very sporting.

@@larion2336 actually they're a bit expensive for use on railkites, that cost could be in more thrusters or rails. they are occasionally seen on rail barges or orbiters though

Cosmoteer is not rly made for friendlyfire tbh, makes deckguns missles etc. very hard to use. u say its funny, havent seen a funny friendlyfire moment so far ...
