Can't spell your customer's name? Do this!

If you're having a hard time understanding your customer's info over the phone (name, email address, etc.), then follow these tips. This includes the NATO phonetic alphabet and how to use them to get the accurate spelling of your customer's info.

NATO alphabet are very useful. Talking to people and asking them to spell their name its been really helpful. Esp.with millitary and police men.

I work in a service desk and sometimes, luckily realy realy seldom but still people start to yell at me when I ask them rto spell their names or repeat. My teamleads and colleagues always say "when they dont want to do this just hang up, remember this is them who need help not you. You dont need their names because you write a book, if they dont have them you cannot help and then they are the ones who lose not you" this is the first time when teamleads csre about our agents' mental health and dont let customers mock us
