I’m trash at defending that cheesy ass crossing route against speedy WRs and deep passes

Any advice on how how to shut down these sideline playmaker routes. I stop the deep passes well. I adjust and shut down the short over the middle and to the sideline passes. Where I get cooked is these mobile QBs that scramble around run toward the sideline and then playmaker the RB or TE sitting there, loft the ball over the top of the defender for a sizeable gain. You can have multiple defenders there.. . but they freeze and don't follow the play maker (too slow reactiion) or dont pressure the scrambling QB quickly enugh.

Smh. So basically NO DEFENSE WORKS IN THIS GAME. Just make sure you have the ball longer than your opp. Which I can agree with because every weekend lg game I play is either a shoot out or a clock chewing feast with a side of sideline cheese 🤦🏽‍♂️

Try to get more pressure maybe by switching up defensive formations or even bringing a extra guy, user the area of the field behind the blitz or if you pick up tendencies can jump certain routes you know are coming. It helps bro. For beating man you will definitely need at least one route tech for your wrs. Post routes, whip routers and corner routes usually beat man how you gotta switch it up too. Experiment during the week and bring that to WL 🙏🏾

Honestly it’s best to jus score first n fast(unless your opponent received the ball first and you have a team with a not so great QB) and get on defense early to see what your opponent likes to throw and force a turnover with adjustments and then play regular ball. A lot of games I win it’s after the first turnover is committed, because the average player is almost sure to commit another after that at which point you really just have to not lose yourself the game

Man coverage, cross manning safeties, usering your corners or whoever has that zone assignment, blitzing to pressure the qb, using faster players at the d end positions to contain the qb from getting to the outside to throw it from that angle

I have literally all gold 99s on my defensive besides like 5 ppl and the slowest DB on my team has a 95 speed which is a LB.. I user but there’s always two ppl open.. idk how to stop the sideline pass cheese… shits worse than 2k cheese.
