Nice job Josh! I get a lot of leaves on my property and went with the Cyclone Rake, but definitely looking into what you have for summer since I no longer have a grass catcher on my Deere, since upgrading to a 580 from 350. A little too pricey to buy a new catcher lol. Cheers 🍻

another test would be with acorns, walnuts, pecans or crab apples. i have heard that lawn sweepers have moderate successes with these nuts and fruit, as well as with small sticks. there are also professional grade machines with hard plastic tines that are designed for these small, round objects.

How good does these sweepers handle weight? had a cheap one a few years ago, the pickup bag kept dragging on the ground no matter how i adjusted it

I’ve had some pretty heavy grass and dust/dirt in it, so much that it took all I had to dump the thing. I’m sure it was dragging the ground some, but it has a pretty heavy material on the bottom that isn’t easily torn. This specific model has quite a bit of adjustability too though in the hitch, so you could angle the front way down to lift the hopper.

Worked pretty well. No doubt better than raking. 🤓

WHY DID YOU USE YOUR JOHN DEERE LAWN SWEEPER WHEN LEAVES WERE WET?
@JoshsGreenGarage2 жыл бұрын
Because I was running out of time before snow, and come spring (breakup in AK) this specific stays flooded, and a ton of leaves don’t help. Plus it is a good test. Don’t worry, was brought inside to dry afterwards.

Battery died??? C'mon...

Yeah I’m human… said I had over 10%, so figured that would be plenty for a few minutes… question is how many people would stick around to see more of what was shown anyway? I’m not proud of it and next time I’ll plan to have a full battery. Didn’t expect this to be a long video anyway.
