Sometimes, you simply fall in love with a particular bat that you have! And just don't want to give up. Saw off the toe if it's less than an inch, then rub down with sandpaper, some resin adhesive and a toe guard.

Why u use tape after fix piece o If you used thread then u see it's too gud repair this piece coz I have 20 year's experience bat repairing.....

Actually the tape just separates the glue from the wooden blocks under the clamps. It's not there for compression.
