I hope he can make this work, but he seems pretty light on details. A good TED talk usually has some specifics. He explained how HIV works and what his goal is, but I don’t really see him describing a path to his goal. My guess, he needs funding and can use this TEDx talk to garner some. Promising promises. Even if the injection doesn’t get developed for a few years, a new approach to ART should come first being realistic that big pharm controls this domain. Maybe an injection that’s taken once a month instead of a pill that’s taken everyday ? A cure would be great but I think for now the focus is more on getting ART even more effective and more affordable to places like Africa
