I can feel completely how difficult this was for her, stigma can kill, still these days, ignorance is overwhelming! I would love to share my story here on TEDx whit the picture of my abuser in the background!

I am watching this as I am writing an essay about how culture and gender affect health outcomes for people living with HIV. I have found it a really emotive experience,, and I am thankful for all of the people here sharing person stories.

I have lived with HIV for almost 5 years. Many times I have wanted to scream at the world that I take no comfort from knowing I won't die from this, that I will die with it. What about the despair and loneliness that come with living with this diagnosis that make me want to shout that I don't want to live with this! Contracting HIV was an act of suicide on my part but I wonder if anyone has been through this kind of an insane predicament.

If they leave after knowing about your disease, they did not deserved your time and presence anyway.
