In this video I give an update on the installation of the rebuilt 1800cc type 4 engine in our 1974 VW Westfalia. Can we overcome a few obstacles and finally get this engine back into the bus? I notice your heater dump valves dont have dump tubes like my 79 Westy does. They are easy enough to modify the ones you have to add dump tubes to move the heat away from under the fuel tank/back seat. I know you want to keep Vango OG, however safety and comfort may also be your guide. 😎 STOC

Hey, Ithink I have the same engine but I think I might be missing some of the tins. Do you know where I could find them? I'm new to this lol

I don’t believe any company remakes engine tin. I suggest you try to see if there is a VW club or group in your area and ask them as many VW enthusiasts collect parts. I would assume most engine runs from 1972-1977 would be interchangeable, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding some. Also, check out the classifieds at www.thesamba.com for much of what you need.
