It's always a pleasure to watch Eric and Mara working together to fix their equipment. Eric is a great husband, a great teacher and mechanic. Mara is willing to tackle any job and learn what to do.

Mara, antique tools are never “scrap iron” any more than “blonde” is, they are fine American “works of art” created by fine American craftsmen who took pride in their work, just like the pride you are putting into making “blonde” to fit your style. Yes, my simplistic point of view and one who enjoys antiques as much as you like visiting antique stores.

I can not believe how clean the workshop is. Like the plastic wall when pressure washing. Always a delight to see Mara working on any project and good to see Abby make an appearance. Stay safe.

As a residential electrician, I've had a lot of helpers, a few great 👍 and a few I wish I never worked with! Eric, you have 1 of the best helpers ever! She's Janie on the spot, and not to mention, 1 of the best doggies! Her willingness to learn says it all! I was told when I started "Shut your mouth, and open your ears" by the 87 year old WW2 Tailgunner "Manny" Who was 1 of the first licensed electricians here on the NY islands, he wasn't the easiest person to get along with, but what I learned was priceless. And 20 years later, I can wire a house soup to nuts! No problem! Man I miss being a helper, but wouldn't change a thing if I could, and please don't tell your wife to shut your mouth and open your ears 😅 Don't think that would go over to well? 😅 But she's definitely listening. And freaking doing it! Great work, great video, and keep up the good work! 👍

That Rockwell drill press will never be SCRAP! Man, watching you remove that tire, with the truck so high, made my back ache! I like to remove them low to the ground, there's less lifting that way. Man, that axle tune was caked full!!! What about the 3rd Thursday of the month, for a Live Feed?

Mara don’t worry about missing the bent tab, just remember that you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your successes.

If the tool doesn't work, take a look for something blocking it. It's a simple check ✔️ and it will avoid frustration.

Teachable moment for Mara with building Blondie. With rebuilding everything now she can see the "why" grease & oil is used in everything that moves and has to keep moving. With the rust, that axle is not going anywhere.

Given the layout of your shop, I would suggest putting the drill press backed up to one of those posts, parallel to the work area. Build a shallow shelf on or around the post for things like Your big drill index, self centering punches, cutting oil, drill press vice and an array of locking pliers. Put a power drop on the post to plug into, set up a foot switch for the drill press, and set up a parabolic spring clamp work light there also. You'll be glad you did. That post will also be a good place to put quick find items you always need and can't find like magnetic pickup tool and a tiny flashlight. (Not the post Mara was just blasting, the next one over). If you ever plumb your shop for air, be sure to put an air drop there to blow off chips. Thanks for another entertaining and informative video. You guys rock!

Eric on my 1969 K30 I’m running a 39” tires on it with 4.56 gears!! It would definitely be much better with 4.88 gears or even a 5.13 gears with a set of 40” or 44” tires!!! I thought this might help you out with your setup on blonde!! Know the engine I’m running is a built 421 sbc with dyno numbers of just shy of 700HP and the torque numbers close to the same as the HP through out the rpm band!! I was definitely shocked at what it had put out for numbers after I had built the motor!!!
