@@PoliteLeader hey Allen, thank you for this video. I've been struggling with this issue for some time. I've messaged you before about a strange pastor called Gino Jennings. And I don't think I needed a video about him anymore. However, there's this woman named Johanna michaelsen, who wrote the book called the Beautiful side of evil. And I listened to her testimonies and videos, and her teachings about the New Age movement and how false doctrines and the Kundalini spirit is injecting itself into Western Christianity. And it helped me to cope with leaving a Pentecostal church that I was attending, and to question Hillsong and Bethel Church and other things such as healing rooms. But she did those conferences over a Pulpit and with lots of Bible references. Not her own pulpit, she has never been a female preacher or pastor of a church as far as I can tell. Is what she did okay for biblical standard? Can you watch her videos and tell me if there's anything wrong with them? She also has videos of her conferences about how children shouldn't be doing Halloween or being entertained by Harry Potter.

If Paul wanted to refer to a particular woman, he would have written "tini gunaiki" "a particular woman." The word "tini" means "a particular," and is not used here. The fact that he uses the word "gunaiki" by itself indicates that he was referring to women in general.

@@elvey7836 3o or so years ago I was in a relationship, he claimed to get saved during our relationship...He was a violent bully, the beatings got more severe and frequent after he was 'saved'! He'd say it was no big deal (beating me up) as he was forgiven as soon as he did it...and that it was me who was hell bound! I got away from him, but was left with resentment towards Jesus, and confusion that lasted decades. I was trying to find God other places, anywhere but through Christ, because of my experience! Praise God that He's softened my heart, and given me discernment and wisdom. I know the man was never 'saved'...his father was the devil (every relationship he's had since has been abusive). A real man wouldn't be controlling you to the degree you feel resentment, there's a difference between being a leader and teacher...to being a thug and bully who manipulates scripture to suit himself. Not having authority to teach scripture doesn't make us 2nd class citizens. We're Gods children, and should be treated with respect and dignity accordingly. Ask God for discernment, so that you know you're not being controlled, but rather loved, cherished and protected :)

I wish he would have touched on the fact that when men fail their family and bail, not leading, protecting and providing for their family that single mothers are forced into that male leadership role. Over 50% of households are fatherless. I agree women should not be pastors and they have a submissive role and I’m ok with that (God knows best) but as a society men need to step up and be that leader. Not all women want to play the man role but are left holding all the responsibilities. Way too common.

While I agree with what you are saying here, really it’s a different subject. It’s true that it seems more and more men are rejecting the responsibilities they are charged with as husbands and as fathers, and likewise their roles in God’s church they forfeit for their own selfish priorities. I’m trying to come up with a follow-up “however” sentence, but that’s just the cold hard truth.

I can't count the number of times that the modern-day main-stream-religious false teachers argued and even fiercely argued with me n my wife that women are to be preachers in the church, but they near-always refuse to provide a direct answer for why does the Word of God ONLY specify what qualifications men are to have for the following positions, but nowhere to be found for what qualifications women are to have for the positions in a church? Now in the rare times they have made a response to it, they literally claim there's books of the Bible (notably ones of Paul) that are forgeries and so therefore the scriptures we provided are exempt from the debate ... of coarse that's completely ludicrous and irrefutably shows that since they dont even have a toe, not to mention a leg to stand on, in the way of proving themselves right and we're wrong, they just start fabricating more lies by saying our direct and specific scriptural references are forgeries in the Bible, and their own cherry-picked scholars prove it. 1 Timothy 3:1-5 BISHOPS 1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) ______________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 Timothy 3:10-13 DEACONS 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Titus 1:4-6 ELDERS 4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. 5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: 6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.1 Timothy 2: 11-14 11 Women should learn quietly and submissively. 12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. 13 For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 Timothy 2: 11-14 11 Women should learn quietly and submissively. 12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. 13 For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 Corinthians 14:34-37 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Titus 2: 1-5 1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 Corinthians 11:1-3 & 8-9 1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

What are your thoughts on "soft complementarianism" arguing that this is the best way to go in church because just like in a Christ-centered family where a mother has authority over children and a father over all of them, then a woman is said to be allowed to be a pastor but never a senior pastor? And that the ordination of the woman into a pastor is to clarify among the community her functional role which among a flock that also has some women as small group leaders?

Thank your response to this egalitarian viewpoint and your exhortation concerning male leadership in the church. I have seen things go on in the church over my years of attendance and that I feel are important to mention regarding the relationship between the genders. I hope I am not off-topic. Wives are to be in submission to their own husbands as he is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. Wives, please do not go to your male pastor/teacher for help in areas you need to talk to your husband about. Husbands, please listen and minister to your wife as Jesus ministers to you. If your husband is not a believer, respectful, gentle submission is still the command. Seek out a godly older woman as a friend and one to whom you can turn with questions about your faith in God. Seek out a godly couple. Recieve from teachers who you know and evaluate whether they be true to sound doctrine. Observe the fruit of their lives to be sure that they practise what they preach. Be careful about who gives you personal counsel. Get same-gender counselling or from a married couple. Even in alter calls and prayer offered in a church setting, men should not be ministering to women, except that the spouse of one or both are present. Do not meet with any man for any reason behind closed doors. And for the single moms of boys, the Lord is so faithful to put godly men in your life to minister to your sons. Our mothers are our first teachers and I don't think that ever stops. It changes over time as our sons mature. Trust the Lord to show you how to do that. It will always be with respect and love. As Ephesians 5:21 says, 'Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.'

I think this particular issue points to the deeper doctrine of the authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Word of God. That's why it's a big deal. Ignoring the plain commands of scripture about the role of men and women in the church is denying the authority it (scripture) holds (at least that's the logic that it implies to me).

I do not understand this sentiment against women being leaders in church. If a women can be the head of a family (as, when she is widowed), I see no reason why they cannot be head of a family of God. Deborah was a judge in Israel, and a leader. The only religion that explicitly forbids a woman from being a leader of any sort is Islam. I do not see any such law against women being leaders in church -- not in the Bible. On the contrary, Acts is full of evidence that women preached in church and spoke in church by exercising the gift of prophecy -- Priscilla and the four daughters of Philip.

So honest question and not trying to stir the pot. My Grandmother felt called to be a Pastor and went through college and got ordained and began preaching in her late 50’s. She never boasted or bragged or “screeched” from the pulpit as some may say about a women leader. I couldn’t tell how many people heard God’s great Gospel through my grandmother. I have seen God do so many great things thru her and my grandmother would be the first to say that she was just a vessel for God’s word. So what I am asking here is do you personally believe that my grandmother was being disrespectful and ignorant to God? She quit a great paying job because she felt God move in her life, I guess the question is All those people God reached through her were they lead astray and did she really disrespect God and his holy word? When Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again, there was no New Testament at all, but Jesus expected him to know and understand this: “Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?” (John 3:9-10) Nicodemus knew and taught the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, having no excuses, he made none. So then, on what did Paul base this doctrine? “the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.” (1 Corinthians 14:34) Hence, Paul or no Paul-like Nicodemus-we too are left bereth of excuses. Unless, of course, you are Andy Stanley and you unhitch from the old testament.

Having a fair amount of Koine Greek knowledge, I want to point out Rachel's critical error on the singular 'woman' (γυνή). It *can* refer to a single member of the noun class, but it also very often refers to *kind*, rather than one specific member. For example, 1 John 4:8 says "He who loves not does not know God, because God is love". That last dependent clause, "because God is love", in Greek is "ὅτι ὁ Θεὸς ἀγαπὴ ἐστίν". ἀγαπὴ (agape - love) is without an article, but it's nonsensical to thus translate it "because God is a love". So it's necessary to see "love" here as referring to the concept itself, not some specific, other "love". Because of this, Rachel's grammatical argument fails. It is *technically* possible to translate it "a" woman, but it must be argued for if such is going to be used as an argument; it cannot be assumed as she does. And as I said, "a [specific] woman" is *technically* possible, but your discussion of the surrounding context makes it a nonsensical translation, and thus requires that we translate it as "[a] woman" in a general, conceptual sense. As this popular egalitarian argument shows, arguably the most effective argument against their position is a natural reading of the text that the original audience would have done.

There is a reason there are more male disciples than you hear about women disciples. I often times wondered how is it women can speak in tongues prophesize when Paul said. If a man speaks in an unknown tongue if there is no interpreter let him keep silent instead of causing confusion babbling million words. You don't see the word woman in there. That means only men should be speaking in tongues prophesizing according to what Paul said.

But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.” Also Yuhanna, please don’t forget that 1 Timothy 3:16-17 says “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” as well as 1 Peter 1:20-21 “knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” It’s time to serve God fulfilling your duty in your God-given role. A leader, not a dictator, serving and not ordering to be served as the world does. The bible doesn’t belittle women, but God does have an order and men feel complete in women when they act like women fulfilling their female roles given by God. Hopefully I was able to clarify your question.

This is a badly needed video for many of the modern churches that, quite honestly, engage in rebellion and worldliness. These are churches that use the "passion translation" or some other insufficient text that distorts the original verbage and intent.

Is it just me or does "going into the Greek" ALWAYS make room for someone to apply their own perspective to scripture, when Greek isn't their native language? Brilliant scholars of the past already translated the Bible. Personally, I trust the textus receptus. Why do people think that by going back to Greek they can provide a better translation or understanding of what is already in plain english?
